    Dear Whirlinturbin, I think that the specs are very good (mine was/is almost the same, but I splurged for the PSE and full natural leather on top of your options). I am not sure of the visual difference between leather and base, but my suspicion is that it is not much. With reguards to the price, I say jump on it as you will not find anything much cheaper (I managed 6.5% off and was proud of that, and it looks like you are doing better). My 2 cents is to make sure you get the options you 'might' want that are either impossible or cost prohibitive afterwords. You can always do PSE afterwords, but you will not be able to do full leather for example.

    Sharp combo, Rhino. I've got pics of Wht/Blue cabrio on my other computer- will post later....I must be a sucker for marketing, been smitten with Carrara white ever since the 997GT3 pre-launch pics in white were published.

    I love the color combination. Porsche white is very good looking and depending on the shade of blue for the interior I do not think it would be too feminine in appearance.

    I debated doing so but I am feeling magnanimous today. However I do like the white and blue combo on a Cab. Very chic and sharp. Sort of stepping up into the rarified atmosphere of a Ferrari but on the cheap.

    BTW That is why I let pass your and David SF post regarding my appearance. Short and ugly is wishful thinking. I still am trying to understand David's obsession with my appearance.

    I saw a White 997 Cab with a Grey top and interior a few weeks ago- it looked awesome!!! I'm sure the White w/ Blue would be very sweet too!

    For one that comes here to learn of cars, some of you guys are so chicken [censored] petty it makes me puke.

    To anwser the 1st poster...The Sport Adpt. seats are great.
    Make sure you keep the self dimming mirrors.
    $398.00 for doc fees is a rape, they charge $45.00 bucks here.

    And Yes, the prices are dropping quickly on the 997 and 997S cars, when the 997tt and GT3's hit the market, the regular 997's will take a hugh hit.

    so what's new? this happens with every generation... but to say "huge hit" is ridiculous. not the same buyer for base 997 and TT/GT3.

    and the question WAS already answered many times on this thread... yes it's a good deal.

    If you get the chance, check out one with a Grey top too- looks very sporty and rich! Very nice with the Carrara White!!! Money! The Grey top is much darker than I thought-so looks awesome. I ordered the Grey top for my baby!

    Thanks SVNSVN all you guys made the decision easier..., and Whirlinturbin I think thats a good deal on that 997S. I was only able to get $5000 off my sticker price.
