I was just in Le Mans - and I saw the 918 first time live and close up......and was blown away.
Although being a white fan currently I must admit it doesn't suit the car very well - so I would definately go for a grey-ish color (liquid metal ?) but the lines the presence the size.....unbelievable cool car. The Cockpit for sure is going to be the best amongst the "3" new supercars - it looks simply fantastic. So Whoopsy - CONGRATS again well done very very good choice

This white one appears to be one of the earlier prototypes, the engine hatch is still the old style with body panels between the exhaust and the rear wing, this one below, from the new pictures after the press embargo, shows the newer grill configuration.
The mesh appears to be non removable by the owners, I can't even possibly imagine how one is going to be able to clean the exhaust soot under the mesh, maybe 10hrs with a Q-tip?
This cleaning problem is one reason I went with black.
I doubt it was a Macan though and it must have been something which is already cleared for production (the driver had his wife with him and he wasn't a test engineer).
