2nd Generation Panamera will be a 2016

3 black "Panamera-looking" 4-door Porsches heading south from Zürich. All German licence plates LB, but no model designations. More sleek design than today. Closer to the 991.
That is all for now folks. Sorry no photos.
2014 991 Carrera 4S | Dark Blue Metallic | PDK | S-PASM (-20mm) | PSE
2010 Audi S5 cabrio | Ibis White
Yes could be. It was my GF who spotted them. She was driven behind them on the highway when she called to tell. Nice heh
I asked if they looked smaller, but she did not think so. Just different. No hump in the back. She reckoned the rear lights looked similar to the 981.

It might be the new "Cayman Turismo Saloon"

I don't think that someone who likes the Panamera (huge, imposing and unusual) will opt for a Macan. I see the Macan affecting the lower Cayenne variants.
Panamera sales might have tumbled because it has saturated its potential market. I see a new model soon with more variants and 5 seats of course.

I would agree with this. Macan/Cayenne and Panamera are 2 completely different markets. I can't imagine someone interested in a Panamera going for a Macan instead. If anything, they'd be more likely to opt for a Cayenne instead, but, again, 2 very different markets.
Panamera sales might have tumbled because it has saturated its potential market. I see a new model soon with more variants and 5 seats of course.
There are already 11 variants, how many more can they make? A Panamera Cabriolet or Targa seems unlikely.

A three (or 2 1/2) volume sedan, a hatchback/fastback like today and an estate perhaps?

I don't think we will see a new Panamera in MY 2016. The 991.2 seems to be MY 2016 and so far we have not seen actual pictures of a Panamera "Mark 2" on the typical spy shot-pages... That just seems way too soon to have a MY16 car.
I think maybe MY17 or even 18.
