and our "old friend" with white beard is in pole position ! lol
look at the realt Gt3 Rs colur :it's tangerine !
if u look this night on Ring's amateur photographers i'm sure that there will be a lot of this RS pictures .

the GT3 is basically a car that should be tracked- but you can drive it on the street.
It is equivalent to to a Ferrari Stradale or a Challenge Ferrari. Those are Ferrari 360's that are set up with more of a race suspension, race tires and wheels, race aerodynamics, race engines (higher revving a few more hp's), and weight saving adjustments (plastic doors, plastic windows, where metal was used- it is now aluminum or carbon fiber, sometimes no air conditioner and no stereo, and no back seat.) It's the high end TRACK version of a 911.
The GT3RS is still a GT3 but it's even harder. This car trully is a track car. It takes the gt3- lowers the suspension more- adds a roll cage, the badges are not metal=- they are stickers or painted on, possibly a few more hp's from the gt3 engine, reworked aerodynamics, higher revs....no (absolutely no) traction control or abs. The car is set up for racing. And honestly, it shouldn't be driven in the rain or very fast by a person that doesn't know how to drive the car corectly.
-this is the high end version of a Gt3- generally all of the stops are pulled out for this car.

Well, it is an enthusiastic answer, but I think there may be a couple things I'd disagree with. I think the road version of the 997GT3RS will have the same motor as the GT3 (same redline of 8,400 rpm) and the car will have ABS brakes (only racing version of RS has no ABS to comply with regulations). I think it's likely to have traction control too and the same (low) ride height of the GT3 as well.
I think the main differences are wider body work (and wheels), different front and rear spoilers, and lighter weight (unknown how this will be achieved yet). Also, special colors and graphics.
I certainly could be wrong, but we'll see shortly. I'm hoping for a couple surprises to justify the 20% price premium...

I was at the ring the whole afternoon along with CR. We did 8 laps but didn't see any 997 GT3. I saw a new S65 AMG and many fake 996 GT3 RS though.

,i hope to there before Easter ,then i'll go in May for the "Scuderia Hanseat "driving course on the Nordscleife ,if you want camewith us .. 
.Everyday I look the webcam and i dream that wonderful "hell" ....
