I heard that there might be a parts shortage at the beginning, so some options won't be available for now. This has not been officially confirmed, just a rumor...

I've put my deposit down for a Turbo S. I've had three basalt black in a row 996, 997.1 and 997.2, so Christian, a picture of a black 991 would be nice!
I try my best (not sure if taking photos is permitted but actually...why shouldn't it be...I would do Porsche a favor here) but it may take another 5 weeks until I get access to these cars.
I am interested in black too because I'm not so sure about Agate grey met.. Also would love to see other interior color combos.

Exactly. Yesterday I saw two 981 Caymans, white and black. Well....I didn't like the black at all, the car looks too solid, all lines and intakes are kind'a hidden

thats the only colors i can see work on the turbo s
i cant see the turbo on Dark color like black or basalt black or dark blue
red yellow saph blue isnt me at all

black/red ,, black interior option on my list
black/red = wild + special for the Turbo S 65%
Black = Classic Porsche interior + best at night driving 35%
cant wait for the dealer to start taking order its still TBA Price here in Kuwait

Color - Paint to Sample: Slate Grey non metallic
Interior: Carrera Red
And golden Porsche lettering on the rear lid
You mean the early 70s Slate Grey? Because the recent colour with the same name was metallic.
Steve McQueen's 911S (also featured in the Le Mans film) was Slate Grey, I think.

Reginos, yes correct !! I mean exactly that Slate Grey! Glasurit code 6601. The opening scene of the 24 Hours of Le Mans had McQueen driving his Slate Grey 911 S . Actually McQueen's later owned also a 930 in that same color .

I really wonder why Porsche doesn't offer more special colors, like BMW's Frozen grey or Frozen silver.
Paint to sample is a good idea, however it poses two serious problems:
1. It takes time, meaning that car delivery will be delayed by at least three months
2. If repairs are needed (accident, scratches, etc.), this could be a challenge (depending on the color)

Wonderbar, thank you for posting this. Real beauty. Slate Grey non metallic is a wonderful color. However, I have never seen a modern 911 painted in this color.
For reference (not my picture, copyright to the respective owner) this is how it looks on a 964 3.6 Turbo

RC, I own two 911 in paint to sample colors. Unless you really choose an extremely exotic color which Porsche never did use before (which does happen) the colors are not that difficult to obtain. As for delivery times you are totally right paint to sample prolonges considerably the delivery time specially when you choose a paint that needs to be beforehand tested and it is not on the already approved list . Congratulations for your purchase, magnificent 911.

Indeed, there is lack of information lately. GT3/Turbo is somehow Ok, but there is something wrong with FL Panamera. No detailed info available, even brochure isn't ready for the moment. As I mentioned before, on the official Porsche press website you can still find the old 970 Panamera Turbo/GTS. I don't know what is going on with Porsche lately but it's extremely noticeable. Perhaps they having hard year with so many new models + 911 50th Anniversary.

I did not know they had published a GT3 brochure. I guess my deposit on a GT3 does not qualify me to get a brochure or be told there is one. Where do I find or get a GT3 brochure? I am really get pissed off with Porsche.
So far the buying experience on a new Porsche is incredibly shabby.

How the McLaren always somehow find his way to this thread???

What a shame...You can talk to your dealer, show him your anger and dissapointment. Perhaps they will fix it in some nice way. Porsche know's how to satisfy the client when they want to.
