    The moment the big players in the car industry start to build and develop electric cars on a more serious basis because they find it to be profitable, Tesla is done.

    I may be wrong of course but I'm not a fan.

    Upgraded Panamera Diesel with 3.0L biturbo and 300ps/650Nm is introduced today as old 250ps/550Nm version replacement. Little bit more expensive as well.

    Just... I played with configurator and "my" Pana D(300ps) would cost 120K € in Germany... Ouch... And I do not get it-in what area it would better my current daily driver Audi A6 3.0BTDI(313ps/650Nm) quattro? My A6 is faster(0-100km/h in 5.1s, Pana D 6.0s) and offers much better traction. Of course, 40K € less in Germany with same options.

    For me only version of Panamera that makes sense is Turbo.

    Panamera are really expensive. 20% more than the equivalent Cayenne for no good reason...

    The next year will be available keithos, at least that what I read in the press kit of the panamera...

    Much as I love the pre-facelifted model, I think the Panamera's design was half-assed at some points; using the DRL/indicator units from the 997.2 were the biggest giveaways. Facelifting it brings it more in line with the current line-up and from what I've read somewhere, the facelift was supposed to be the initial design for the car but Porsche dumbed the design down at the last minute.

    FYi I've seen on various youtube videos (not saying that makes it official) that Porsche is referring to this facelift as actually the 2nd generation Panamera?  Are we so sure another body style is coming 2015/2016?

    Usually, it's after 4 years. So, announcement mid 2017 and production a few months later.

    It depends on the success of the facelift. If the car sells well, why should Porsche offer a new generation?

    Rumors indicate that the next gen A8 and the next gen Bentley Continental are sharing the platform with the next gen Panamera. So it would be quite dumb not to offer all these three models, based on the same platform at aprox. the same time (plus/minus a couple of months). We are talking VW Group here, remember?!

    So there have been constant rumors that the Panamera facelift will be around for a short while (2-3 years at max) only but of course I do not work for Porsche, so I don't know for sure. Rumors are rumors.

    I think this is because the Panamera is a more bespoke Porsche vehicle than the Cayenne. I believe that the Cayenne is priced lower because it shares more parts [platforms, engines, body panels] with other vehicles outside the Porsche umbrella [Volkswagen Touareg, Audi Q7].

    Either way though, I agree that the Panamera is a really expensive model. Here in Kuwait, a base Cayenne is priced at 20800 KWD and a base Panamera starts at 30900 KWD - that's essentially a 50 percent difference [give or take]!
