    That's a regular, current-generation Cayenne V6 or Diesel; nothing different whatsoever from the current car.

    looks to me like a new panamera and a new panamera turbo front ends. that doesn't have the clearance of a cayenne

    He is referring to the silver SUV on the right hand side of the picture.

    It looks to me like a regular Cayenne as well, though.

    Just got the information from my Porsche dealer that Macan is cancelled for IAA in Frankfurt this autumn.

    Production delayed until next year.

     

    Can someone confirm ..... yes

    The rear looks good indeed, but the front is too much Cayenne. By the time the Macan is introduced that desin is already 4+ years old..

    I posted the information about the IAA car show on Feb 25th, the Macan will be not be presented in Frankfurt but instead be shown at the LA car show in late Nov/early Dec.

    So that part seems to be confirmed now (AMS magazine sid that as well), I am not sure about the kick-offf schedule for the actual production.

    LA makes sense from a Dealer introduction perspective.  US dealers are scheduled to receive Macan in Spring 2014. This is similar to the 981 Cayman - Launched LA auto show Nov 2012 at  US dealers April 2013.

    If this is the deal than good-night Porsche! They might be wrong but I dont think this pictures are totally off. Seeing every week those camo cars driving around I would say this is pretty close!

    A little Internet snooping turned up this rendering by Larson and the following stats [take this with a pinch of salt]:

    - Base price: 47500 EUR
    - Five models in the range

    • Macan - 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder with 230 hp - production from 2014
    • Macan Diesel - 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder with 200 hp - production from 2014
    • Macan S - 3.0L turbocharged V6 with 335 hp - production from 11/2013
    • Macan S Diesel - 3.0L turbocharged V6 with 240 hp - production from 11/2013
    • Macan Turbo - 3.0L turbocharged V6 with 395 hp - production from 11/2013

    - All models to feature seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive

    My guess is that all the engines aside from the MTT will be plucked from the Audi bin, so we can expect the 2.0L TFSI, the 2.0L/3.0L TDI engines and the 3.0L TFSI used in the latest Audi S models. Besides, the 3.0L TFSI is technically supercharged, not turbocharged.

    I think the MTT will get the Porsche twin-turbo V6 that's rumored to replace the N/A V8 engines so it'll have an actual turbocharged engine and an appropriate name.
