SoCalHoosier:
Will there be a power increase or will it just be a cosmetic update?
Of course there will be a power upgrade, as always.
It is also very likely that, if the rumor is true and Porsche switches the V8 Panamera engines to V6 turbo engines, the same engines will be used in the Cayenne too. I think this is a big mistake (I wouldn't buy a V6 turbo SUV) but maybe Porsche is forced to do that because of future emissions regulations.

Second half of 2014 is my guess; optional LED headlights, different front light units and grilles, taillights with LED light bars and row lights instead of the dots in the current ones, different rear bumper and powertrain enhancements.
We'll probably see the loss of the N/A V8 in the S/GTS models for the rumored TT V6 but with power upped from 400 to 415-30 hp. Makes me want to skip on the Macan Turbo and hold onto my Cayenne S a bit longer if that'll be the case...

Georg:
When will it to be released?
Will it have the new tail-light design?
2014.
Yes. (what do you mean by the new tail light design?)

Christian, a tail-light design near to the predicted Macan design.
Or will it only be a new design "insight" the current ones?
I´ll change from RRS to Cayenne again, favorite point in time ist before summer 2014, but will also work after summer. The rear of the current cayenne isn´t mine, the new RRS, launch after summer 2013, looks horrible on spyshots.

the new RRS looks horrible.
I think that the current Cayenne could be the best Cayenne ever... there are so many ways to screw it up and Porsche might pursue a few of them
2012 Cayenne TT, looking for a nice 4-seater sports car to answer my call :)

As far as I know, the Macan tail light design is going to be reserved for quite a while for the...Macan. They want to keep the Macan and the Cayenne at a distance. As far as I heard (haven't really looked into it too much), the new rear light design of the Cayenne will be close to the concept they used for the Panamera facelift (so slightly smaller rear lights with LED stripes instead of dots). Also the Cayenne facelift gets LED front lights as an option. I'm afraid to tell you that Porsche also apparently plans to use the V6 Turbo for the Cayenne, so my Cayenne GTS may be the last Porsche SUV I buy, as sad this would make me. I am a little bit anal here, when it comes to SUV engines, a SUV without a V8 doesn't "feel" right for me.

An article I read last year said the normally aspirated V8 will be replaced by the turbo V6 in the non turbo Cayennes and Panameras.
There still will be a Turbo V8 on offer for the Cayenne Turbo and Panamera Turbo variants.
Heres hoping the Turbo V8 will still be available.

SciFrog:
And torque... I am totally unimpressed by the 4.2 V8 in my Q7...
A powerful Turbo Diesel would make much more sense from both points of view (torque and consumption).
We had a V12 Turbo Diesel with 500 horses in the Q7 for a while but they are only available as used models anymore. The V8 Turbo Diesel has 340 hp, which would probably put any V6 Turbo to shame regarding torque and consumption. I hate V6 Turbos...they suck, especially in big and heavy cars.
