HI Gilles , wonderful exterior and interior color , makes the widebody very special. You 993 appears to be in top shape. Can you tell more about the provenance ?
How do you like the 993 drive compared to the 997 ? I haven`t driven much so far with mine but I love the 993 and I guess my 997 will spend the summer in the garage. To me the 993 has that raw vintage 911 feeling that the from the 996 onwards has been lost (it`s a fact and I don`t mean this with any negative connotation). I have driven several thousand kms with a 2.4 S F model and in many aspects the 993 reminds me of it with plenty more refinement and modernity (and I would add safety too) , the 993 is a very good balance between modern and vintage 911.

I bought the car in Meurthe et Moselle, France, near Luxembourg.
The car had 3 owners. It comes from germany. Specially made for a director of a CP at the time. Then a member of the Porsche Club of Meurthe et Moselle import in 2002. The car stayed in a garage and did very few kilometers. Then he sold it to a passionated person in 2007. Again, the car did not see the snow or the rain.
I bought it 2 weeks ago after 2 month of waiting because of the snow condition in North of France.
It is pristine condition.
In terms of driving, I must say that the 993 is much lighter, so the drive is more fun. Also, you have to be acurate where you place the wheels.
I agree, this last 993 is the best compromise of the Porsche Mythe. You drive a modern car in a vintage spirit !!

Always liked the subtle roof spoiler of the later 993. Still think Arctic silver was the best, (although very rare in UK as was a 996 colour) followed by Iris blue. I had a Polar C2 and always thought the combination with standard silver wheels was a bit odd - feel the same way with the 991 Platinum silver. Yours looks a bit like what was Meridian silver in the UK. (only ever recall seeing this on 996 though - and never with blue interior)

Hi Gilles, thank you for your reply, great to read that your 993 has had good custodians and nice history so far . The fact that it did not see much rain and snow is actually something quite crucial for this model since there are few parts that are subject to rust (I guess you are aware of the rust around the windshield and rear chassis rails that many 993 suffer). On my 993 the windshield rust was cured two years ago and now seems is ok; not a big deal but still something to observe carefully.
I agree it is very rewarding to drive, I have fun even driving to the grocery store , just the 997 front trunk is much bigger!
