Re: Ferrari F70 mule spied! (So much less camouflage)

We should expect the second version i think

The HY-KERS system is governed by the Hybrid Power Unit which controls the power delivery from both the V12 and the electric motor via two inverters and two DC-DC converters. The variable-frequency control makes torque delivery rapid and precise. This technology has enabled Ferrari’s engineers to maximise performance and reduce fuel consumption. C02 emissions have been reduced to 330 g/km without resorting to electric-only drive which was not within the mission of this model. The HY-KERS system is, however, designed so that in future applications a car can be driven using exclusively electric power for a few kilometres and, during development testing, a full-electric version of LaFerrari achieved just 220 g/km of C02 emissions on the combined cycle.

    i like the P1 more.

Re: Ferrari F70 mule spied! (So much less camouflage)

Futch, now tell us what made you switch from the 918 to the Ferrari ?  Like this the car does not look like a ' must have' .

Anyway much better than p1)) The thing that kills design of this car is rear arch intake and doors design.

I like it, how are the dealer discounts?

Re: Ferrari F70 mule spied! (So much less camouflage)

On pictures, I find the P4/5 much nicer. angry

Re: Ferrari F70 mule spied! (So much less camouflage)

P 4/5 was made by right people. Also had a great design basis -p3/4. I don't know why ferrari design dept. ignored great 60 protos.

give me a Pagani Hyuara any day Smiley  much more better looking !

Re: Ferrari F70 mule spied! (So much less camouflage)

This is nice, but not sure if it's any better than 918, design-wise. Also, 918 trumps it even in technology terms...

Really, what was all fuss about! i would never switch from 918 to this if I had the money!

Re: Ferrari F70 mule spied! (So much less camouflage)

Maybe I was expecting too much! broken heart

Starting to appreciate the 918 and the P1 much more now! kiss

Now you see why I've ordered mine in black, in reality, the car looks spectacular, the side and rear are gorgeous but the front is too aggressive. The interior is awesome.

The 918 is gorgeous but heavy and complexe. And they're making too many. My prediction is that it will crash in value. at 500k euros, it could be interesting. But by then, the new 458 competitor could be out, this will be the car to get imo.

That plus the fact I was treated like a meaningfull scumbag when I ordered my Cayenne diesel sealed the deal. I'm not asking for the moon but from someone who owns more than twenty Porsches, a 1% discount would have been nice.

LaUgly- 918 Spyder all the way!

Re: Ferrari F70 mule spied! (So much less camouflage)

Those doors are MASSIVE with the aerodynamics molded in....

I kind of yawned when I saw the images. So is it technically called the Ferrari LaFerrari or Ferrari La or just LaFerrari on it's own? A terrible name for the car. It would be the same as the 918 being called "DerPorsche"

Re: Ferrari F70 mule spied! (So much less camouflage)

To be fair i dont understand the price of p1 and laferrari, they simply dont cost these money. What is the most expensive thing in the car? - engine and transmission. Engine, as i have posted above is from 300k f12, transmission...?- nothing new. Same with p1 which also derives 200k model chassis...

They only car that costs its money is 918. Yes it can depreciate (sure ferrari and p1 will make the same). But it is fair car for fair money.

To be fair, in old countries like good old Europe it just doesn't work but for new markets where bling is king, it'll be seen as a cool name. Hey, look at me, I don't just drive a Ferrari, I drive THE ferrari.

Can't wait to get my hands on LaCitroen...

Yes Mike, it's true but trust me, the door are as huge as they are light!Smiley

Re: Ferrari F70 mule spied! (So much less camouflage)

my opinion is that there is so much more aerodynamic solution in the ferrari from what I can read around the net then in any other car right now, P1 included, which all the exterior is designed to serve aerodynamic.

The solutions of ferrari in theory are so much more sofisticated then all the others, for me its absolutely the most desiderable car at the moment, the acceleration is something incredible, and to manage so fast around fiorano it must be soooo fast in the track. we just have to wait to see when somebody can try this car what it would be like.

I'm pretty sure it will be the benchmark for many years.

good luck with it futch, and when you will have it at home you have to tell us how it goes.....

Sometime in 2014 yes I will of course post a full report on Rennteam. Looks like it's wearing standard P Zero which will be the weak point on the track so fist thing I'll do is fit slicks and see what happens. That 0 to 200 kmh in less than 7 secs still makes me dizzy just thinking about it.

Re: Ferrari F70 mule spied! (So much less camouflage)

    here is a video presentation

    http://www.laferrari.com/en/

I think the car looks great. I certain would love to have one but is definitely out of my price range.surprise

Hmn the video while it is on the track did not come up. Try this one.

Good you made that point ! They obviously needed it  . Now I suppose it was that particular dealer that was an a.. h.. .  He should pay the consequences .

WOW.... I love it! For me the car looks great on any angle. Its a real Ferrari.... wonderful, well done! Have to say what Ferrari launched the last two years is amazing design and performance-wise!

    Futch,

Now, I understand why you changed from 918 to LaFerrari.  I think this car will be really special.  The special feeling that modern Porsche seems to have lost in delivering to clients as they are only looking for customers instead.

With that weight & power, I was blown away when I saw the prototype's cornering speed.

I would also buy this car instantly if such an opportunity was presented to me.  Sadly and for you gladly, it's sold out even before announced!

I can also see a bit of design elements from the winner of Ferrari Design Competition 2011.

Just listening to it on the track makes me tingle. Unbelievable sound and styling. The 918 would disappear if it was parked alongside of the F70.

Ignorance is not bliss. The engine of LaFerrari has more than 300 modifications compared to the F12 (basically they are both FXX Evo derivatives) and the KERS integration is mindblowing! That is why it makes 128 CV/litre (another record for a N/A engine) and revs to 9250! The batteries weigh 60 kg and the car does 0-300 kph in less than 15s for crying out loud!!! Smiley

I dont want to argue because i like this car.

Modifications doesnt matter, they have the same basis making this engine not bespoke. All previous ferrari supercars had bespoke engines. Kers integration made in a simpliest way actuallySmiley drivetrain is not a thing that make this car special. If they don't let you drive fully electrically, they should use supercapacitors instead... 918 will have more hp per liter too. The thing that i like is monocoque materials. And design is good too.

we will have to check these 15 seconds, anyway, even if it will make at least 17 with average driver -it will be cool. Less than 15 sec -who said that?Smiley

Anyway, Realzeus, I am very glad that you are happy, people must be happy)

P.s. great photo with Ron Dennis... He had a bad day today, his car was forgotten) Also, I don't understand why people have forgotten about new Pininfarina concept? Except the rear bumper this car is great!
