What do you use the GT2 for? Daily driver, track or both?

BTW, good call on the 599. Regarding Ferrari sales people, once you become a regular client you are treated with kid gloves. They will do whatever they can to keep you happy. The problem is most have to grovel while buying their first Ferrari.

Since I opted out of the California, 458 and the FF, my standing with the dealership may be back to square one.SmileySmiley

I use the GT2 mostly on the weekends / track 2 ~ 4 hrs and sometimes as a back-up car whenever I drop my DD for service. The car is now much more driveable on the streets since I switched to Michelin PSS tires.

It`s hard to tell, but yes it look`s like the Turbo spoiler ....  doesn`t look like the "duck tail" or "aero kit"....

but it could also be a past pic (997 turbo)

    BiTurbo:

I read a lot of reviews about how bad the Ceramic Brakes were on the Gallardo, which isn't true and I can say it is very close to Porsche's CCB when it comes to emergeny stops. 10/10 Smiley

Yes, the Lambo's Ceramic brakes stop the car in an emergency just fine, but the feel and ease of modulation are terrible and that is the reason for the poor reviews.

Front: Have to get used to it
Rear: OMG, LOVE it! Thank god for the wing, but also the way they solved how the rear looked a bit "high" on the normal 991's

rear bumper is way too fussy

Re: 991 spyshots thread (continued) (for UNRELEASED models only) Thread Closed

Front lights are nice, new front bumper is too busy for my taste, but rear bumper is even worse. Looks terrible IMO, just like some montrosity from Gemballa. mail

Interior is okay, but new centre console looks totally out of place for a car like the GT3.

Overall, not impressed by the looks, though technical specs will be fantastic.

Hmm... In that case you won't be impressed with new 991 Turbo either. I on the other hand like both new GT3 and Turbo very much indeed.

     Hi Rossi,

Well, myself of not being such a 991 fan..I think - for a 991 it looks quite good..the back of a normal 991 is for me "messed up" anyway..so no problem in putting a spoiler..and besides, I think a 4s 991 looks better then the 2s..simply because of the light band that reduces the visual impact of the lip at the back.

Front: yes..a bit too much..could have been made a bit less agressive...but still OK

Intererior: Looks good for a Panamera GTS..but not in a GT3Smiley

But anyway, we need to know more about its technical details...and as I said before - if this engine will not appear soon on racetracks..Im not in the market anyway. If someone is there tomorrow, please ask Porsche about their racing future...and engine choice..

    thanks,Smiley

I simply don't like that Gemballa styling for a car straight from the factory. If I want to attract attention, I go and buy a Gallardo or a 458, but for any 911, no thanks. Smiley

That 475hp comes at 8.250rpm, peak torque of 324lb ft at 6,250rpm. So, yes, you're going to have to rev the nuts off it basically. Shucks, eh? Top speed is 196mph and 0-62 is 3.5 seconds but these bald stats are merely window dressing for true GT3 fans.

    PDK transmission has been tweaked
    PDK transmission has been tweaked

The most controversial move is the PDK-only transmission. There are important changes to the way it works in regular Porsches though, not least that the ratios have been lowered across the board and seventh is a 'proper' gear, not just a fuel-saving overdrive. Sub 100-millisecond shifts are available in manual mode thanks to a 'torque overshoot' and you can demand 'clutch neutral' at any point by pulling both paddles simultaneously, allowing clutch-kicking antics for you drifters out there. Yo.
