Factory Five Kit Cars vs Lamborghini Gallardo

When I flew into Rhode Island the summer before last, the airport had a Factory Five A/C Cobra on display in the one of the concourses. I found it strange that it would be there of all places until I read the plaque and discovered that Factory Five's HQ is in Rhode Island.
Admittedly, I was never a fan of replicas. I'm a child of the 80's where "replica" often meant inexpensive, flimsy, ill fitting fiberglass shell built on a Pontiac Fiero or Volkswagen chassis. After spending a considerable time nosing around the car I was surprised at how well finished and appointed a kit car can be when done correctly. It changed my mind about purchasing a replica kit car and I wouldn't hesitate considering a Factory Five if the opportunity arose in the future.

Exactly Heist - same thoughts! But I also understood and learned that a Replica today might be much better than the original - disc brakes, ABS, ESP, Air-Co, E-Gas, etc....
