I'm on my 4th windshield I believe... I lost count. My advice is to repair it and not change the widnshield.
The reason being is beceause I choose to replace the whole windshield the first time, and it wasn't that much of a crack, just a little hole, but it annoyed me and thought that the repair would still leave a mark, and I'm a bit anal about that, just like I cannnot stand a scratch on a pair of sunglasses for example.
Turns out that once I replaced the original factory fitted windshiled (at the Porsche dealership with original windshield not aftermarket ones), it wouldn't take long for the widnshield to crack or chip after that. They seemed much weaker that the original one and went though several widnshields in very little time with cracks, under the same driving conditions and roads.
Seems that in the factory , its a robot that installs the windshields and the process is done more precise and reliably that how it can be done at your Porsche dealership by the mechanics, and IMHO this is what lead to the following widnshields being less resistant.
Usually when they replaced the widnshield I would pick the car the day after so that the glue had time to dry and the windshield settle, but on the last windshioeld I decided to leave the car several days so that the windshiled settled completely in case that had an effect, and turns out that this windshiled has lasted me since. Its got small chips but no cracks, but I'm not changing it! Maybe just a coincidence but still worth mentioning.
So I would not change it, I regret I did, but I would still repair it, if its repairable, with the resin though just in case to avoid the crack getting bigger due to changes in temperature for example (like AC on full on a hot day) and forcing you to change the whole windshield.
