I went out for a little drive today, I had planned a trip of about 450km over some of my preferred Alpine passes, being winter many of them were closed, so I opted for those still open. Sadly upon arrival it seemed even those that were opened were mostly covered in ice.
Nevertheless I had a good trip and enjoyed some tunnels of course.
Gnil:
Porker : It would of been great to be along for the drive, but I could not make it ... and a little too far out from my place. Great pics ! I can just imagine my Carrera S on these type of roads
Hi Gnil, no problem, it was a little last minute anyway... I didn't go direction Davos after all as even more mountain passes were closed there. These pics are taken on the Furka- and Sustenpass.

Gnil, How do you like the SOTTOZEROS?
They work well for my winter conditions. I only drive about 10 days a year on snow covered roads. The rest is on dry/wet roads.
Before I had the Nokian. They were better in snow but worse on dry roads as they are softer and have bigger ' snow grip'' design .
For me the Pirelli are better . If I would drive mostly on snow covered roads I would go for the Nokian .

Here a pic from this morning in front of one of our university building.
For the ones interested in architecture the architects are Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa , winner of the Pritzker price in 2010, just after they completed this amazing building. It is called the Rolex learning center, and when inside it is like no other place. The students love it . It is actually 300 m from my place ;-)
and to show you a little bit what it looks like :
