I'm looking for some alternative exhaust for my 997.2 Carrera S OEM exhaust.
I really love 991 PSE sounds: "pops" and "crackling". Do you know any exhaust for 997.2 that can make sound ("pops" "crackling" for examples on down shifts) like 991 makes?

What is wrong with the OEM PSE? The "pops" and "crackling" you are mentioning on the 991 is controlled by the DME and involves the engine too, this isn't just the exhaust, so no, no possibility here.

Nope...this is artificially created in the 991.

you guys crack me up. In the tuning world this used to be seen as a carb or injector problem (pops and cracks) AND not a desireable sound at all (unlike a turbo wastegate whistle or super charger belt whine which are both cool)
I prefer to not hear the unburnt gases igniting in the exhaust or cat. Sounds like a misfire, like the DME is trying to slow the engine too fast. I prefer the sound of a light flywheel reducing the engine speed rapidly like in the CGT!!!, I think that is what they were trying to make the DME do but it causes this poping sound which interestingly enough some like. Go figure.

Yes it is, not during idle, but while moving on down shifting my 997.2 with PSE+SW bypass does it and it´s wonderful to hear it. You have to master the throtle in order to make it even more pronounced but this is part of the fun 
I´ll try to make a video tomorrow and will post here, maybe you can get an ideia but I can assure you it´s a great sound. I have two friends of mine who are bike lovers and own very powerful bikes, They both went for a ride together on my car. When they got out of the car, first thing they mention was the sound while downshifting they said it reminds their bikes. PSE+SW bypass is a great combination.

Yes, that´s what I have. I had PSE without the SW bypass first and it sounded good, but with PSE & SW bypass all popping and crackling become clearly more pronounced. My house is on a downhill road and every time I come home I down shift to third...then second gear and hear the beautiful symphony till I get home fun fun fun 
...and it´s a Cab so

Hi seek. Today I made more than 6 videos and non capture the sound in a way you could hear what it really sounds in real life. I was alone and put the phone near the window while rolling and down shifting and it didn´t get the sound. Then I put the phone near the rear seats with no great result. Tried some other "technics" with zero results. You can clearly hear it´s a sport exhaust while reving but you can´t clearly hear the popping and crackling on down shifts!!
I will try tomorrow to put the phone near the exhaust with some tape and see the results. If my phone falls, I´ll send you the bill .

Is this exhaust perfectly legal in the EU? I can't see the reason why Porsche wouldn't have done it this way if it was legal as it's simpler to manufacture as it does away with the central silencer.
