    MBA exam stress + laptop = rainbow ??

    Anything to avoid thinking about tomorrow's Accounting exam... here's a rainbow of Ruf : Ruf rainbow gallery.

    Makes a nice changing desktop background, if you stick them all in the same folder (on a Mac, anyway).

    Now - what goes in the Balance Sheet and what goes in the P/L Account again...? aargh

    Assets, Liabilities and Equity on the balance sheet and fees/revenues flowing in monthly from any pending/receivable accounts to the P/L account of course

    Here is some advise how to account for a car-purchase in case the car would be a Porsche:

    Stock equipped 997 = tangibles/ fixed assets column

    Items from option-list = intangibles / goodwill column

    And don't forget the impairment test for the goodwill items

    On the income statement, just put your enjoyable Porsche experience under "Other Comprehensive Income"

    What a heinous morning... gave myself 2 hours to make the 14 mile journey to my exam, and thanks to snow and some tw@t crashing on the city bypass, it took me 2 hrs 20 mins. Had a splitting tension headache thereafter, while I wrestled with NPV's and full vs. variable costing.

    So my Journey Time Variance was:
    (Standard Time less Actual Time) x Snowfall in inches

    .. or something. Reckon I passed, though.
