Thanks John missed the article on Watch Dog switched on in time to see the dodgy second hand car dealer and the marketing director of Wonga getting his head deservedly kicked in by Ann Robinson over "pay day loans" and their promise to lend money in 15 minutes resulting in failure to carry out proper security checks and innocent people having large sums of money taken out of their account without knowledge due to resulting identity fraud.
I know how the victims must feel, I was a victim of attempted fraud last year, thankfully due to the efficiency of Credit Expert (Experian) I got the alert in time to stop any funds being taken. I thoroughly recommend them, by the way.

Dreamcar - out of interest, did you have CIFAS registered against you? If so, have you been able to get credit since? (bitter experience of the same - hate the whole credit reference agency scam of experian and equifax)

Yes the incident was registed at CIFAS, by HBOS, one of the three firms that were involved. It has not adversely effected my credit rating at all, fortunately.
