Hammy113:
I picked up the car yesterday afternoon. Here is the list from the invoice:
- DME control unit not up to date
- Reprogrammed DME
-Reprogrammed Tiptronic control unit
- Performed kick down adaption and throttle adaption
Software update was out in 2011 not now, I know, because I got these updates when I owned a CTT!

What your fax will have achieved is that a dealer who was apparently reluctant to do his job properly has now had it made clear to him that your case is being "observed".

Good for you!!! I'm still waiting for the Cayenne to be shipped here. Any courier letter has a tracking number that updates where it is now. A car? Nothing. 1-2 weeks that is the answer I've been getting for 2 weeks+ now. That is upsetting..

Sorry to hear that. Wasn't there a possibility to ship cars by plane (which of course costs an additional 5 to 10k as far as I remember)? For those who can't wait...just saying.

5-10k is way too much, I prefer to wait... but I'll still whine :)))) What bothers me is not the fact that it's long, but the fact that I do not have a definite day of delivery and laggy answers from my dealer. Any definite date with some updates would be good :)

I feel with you. I ordered a BMW X5M from my local dealer and since this model is made in the US, the waiting time and the lack of any information (I found out myself on which ship my car was but nothing more) from my dealer, killed me. Even a day before the car arrived at my dealer, he didn't actually know where it is. Bummer.
