Picked this up and have been driving it around non stop Very happy with the way it drives, despite only having 408hp. It still feels and sounds great.
You needed a run around, Mike....
Nice one Throt....
Congrats Mike...... I think RHD could be quite rare?

You just bought that to cover up your dirty floor. Admit it!
Indeed a great car. Prefer that colour over white as well. How do you feel about the roof mechanism? Heard that they can be a bit troublesome. Considering the time of purchase, did you still order it straight from the factory?
Congrats Mike
You add another rare "toy" to your collection
You have been very quiet for some time and I was very curious why. Here comes the answer.

OK, finally seen it (but on my phone!)
MIke - are you in SA? I thought you were somewhere in Singapore..! JHB or CPT?
My friend imported two 964 Speedsters into SA earlier this year, kept one and has decided to sell the other one - I saw it at Porsche a couple of weeks ago but not sure if it's sold yet. I must catch up with him. Showroom price about R1.5m I think - about $180m...so just for real enthusiasts with deep pockets!

@ Rossi: You don't need to say anything. We already know what you are thinking.

@fritz: I walked into that one right there. Lucky for me, that particular has been sold a week or two ago
@Budster: Wow, 10% commission - you Capetonians are expensive
@Enmanuel: I was not crazy about the car at first, but I was itching for another convertible. It was either the 12C Spider or this. The 458 does nothing for me from a looks points of view. The 12C, although great on paper - lacked flare in person. It will also depreciate like a rock off a cliff. This car too, I'm sure will depreciate, but at least it has some historic value. I figured seeing that the other milestone 997's were in the garage, it seemed logical to make the move on this. Trust me when I say, I was having second thoughts all the time. I'm not a PDK person either, so it had a lot of cons weighing up for it. Now that I have had the pleasure of enjoying it on some beautiful roads, my slight reluctance towards it have totally fallen away. I even love the PDK! The roof mechanism is also a bit of entertainment to take down. Plus I have always said that the next 911 will be Riviera Blue, but I guess this was a nice compromise in colour
@Ron: Thanks buddy!
@Jim: Haha, thanks Jim! I'll do so during the course of the week
@Bjoern: Hahaha, I am afraid that will have to be done during the course of early next year. They are all over the place at the moment
