The clear lights looked goon on the 997.2 because they had a strip of red that tied it all together, but on the 991 they just look kind of unfinished and tacky. If they'd left a bit of red they'd look good. Then again maybe on the GT models and in certain colors it could work
they might be very interesting on some of the car colours where the red either is lost or doesn't mix.
as usual no carte blanche comment should made against them - you have to look at them & THINK about them in context of the whole car

Not trying to nit-pick, but just to make that easier to comprehend: X51 is in fact the order code for the power kit, which consists of many different parts, including an additional centre radiator to increase cooling capacity. (Unless the car is a Tiptronic where 997.1 models and earlier are concerned, in which case it would have the centre radiator anyway. Don't know off- hand what the situation is with the 991/PDK regarding the centre radiator.).

Sigh, why do you a l w a y s have to nit-pick
You are of course correct and clearer, X51 is the order number for the power kit which is translated into a part number depending on the car configuration (PDK, PSE, etc.). Which in turn is translated into all the individual (sub-)part numbers for the air intake, ECU, nut and bolts, etc.

I only said it 'cos I thought that otherwise people would be standing in line at Porsche parts counters on Monday morning wanting "an X51" so they could get 15-20hp (?) more out of their 911s just by changing one part.

Now you are joking, right? The X51 is delivered as one part:

It is still available on the Swiss configurator, but only for the coupe not the cabriolet.

I was talking about the German site... could be as simple as a web site error??? Hmmm... Somehow I don't think so...
Yes, you could interpret that two ways... either there is an issue with the power kit but they forgot to remove it from the Swiss configurator... or there is no issue with the power kit, only with the German configurator
My guess is the German configurator is wrong. A few times I noticed parts disappearing and later reappearing when they do upgrades to the configurator.
Nothing to worry about

My dealer can't order the X51 so it is not a web site error...
Does anyone know when the X51 will be available again?
Did he not say why? If there is anyone who should be able to get this info it is your dealer. Tell him to lift the phone and call someone important in Zuffenhausen who can answer
