    Next tuedsday (May 29th) the production of MY 2013 will begin, including the optional glass roof. I expect some photos to surface soon...

    (ordered my car with glass roof as well, also July delivery)

    yes would love to see the live pic of the glass sunroof.

    i got mine in agate grey so not sure what it would look like with a blackish top though my dealer assured me that it would look stunning.

    Hello 

     

    I sold my Carrera 4s 997 gen 2 and will order C2S 991 in white with the new glass sun roof

     

    I am worried that the contrast in colour between white and black would ruin the overall look of the car

     

    I am so tempted though!

    Any thoughts?

    not sure about the looks. May be its the white contrasting against black which looks different?

    My porsche dealer is going to go nuts 

    I asked him to change my order into white colour with glass sun roof all other options remain the same.

    I put the initial order on the 30/5/2012 so hope he will accept the change 

    So white with full black leather 

    folding mirror parking sensors

    20 mms lower, pdk, sports exhaust.sports chrono

    porsche crests on head rests, heated seats, led interior package

    any one seen any pics of a 991 with the glass roof .. so far, have seen only on configurator, and that's not so clear.

    be interesting to see if there is a sun blind on the inside, and how that is implemented.

    I had never noticed before, but  BMW 6 series coupes can be had with glass sunroofs in the same configuration as the 991.

    I parked this am next to a silver one with the contiguous roof parts painted body color (silver)  and the roof in dark glass. Looked great from the outside and also looking up through the window and out the roof  from the inside.

    991 glass roof spans the entire roof .. making it look like an after market wrap on non black cars.

    ....this is definitely not true :) however, how can oyu tell ?  you'd never seen one obviously.....

    BTW, there's a delivery delay of 6 weeks on all 911 with the glassroof ......

    Looks good to me, I ordered black (delayed 6 weeks as well....) but would also opt for glass sunroof with silver or white car

    difficult to see how the glass roof looks from the interior ..

    dark colours integrate well, light colours, I'm not sure

    I'm just not convinced about the aesthetics of the glass sunroof on the 991....especially on lighter cars. I have it ordered but may just cancel it.

    From my understanding, the light and view from the inside is still a smallish window and not the entire roof as in a genuine "moonroof". I have not seen it and my be incorrect in my assumptions. Your views appreciated.

    ....no, it's not a smallish window, i've seen pictures and the glass is exactly as big as the normal option. Your PC should be in the position to tell you.  What car colour did you order?

    The pic of a silver car that I saw somewhere had the roof panels in front of and behind the movable portion of the roof.
    It looked great.

    ....Yep, I think you're right, on light colours the glass roof doesn't look as well integrated as on dark colours, ordered mine agate grey on which the difference is not that obvious i think. However  It's a matter of taste :)

    delay (in the UK at least) on glass roof is now 10 weeks.

    I cancelled my glass roof in favor of steel. More because of aesthetics than the delayed production.
