WOW .. .looks like I need to change my 991 C2S soon
That must be 21" wheels... Wonder if that will be standard on the GT3 and optional for other models in the range
On Order: 991 C2S Basalt Black/Black - PDK, PSE, SPASM, SportChrono, etc.
Sold: 997.2 C2S Meteor Grey/Black - PDK, PSE, LSD, SportChrono, etc.
Sold: 997.1 C2S Black/Black - PSE, PCCB, -20mm/LSD, Short-shifter, SportChrono, etc.
Nice video.... and the shift at 0.29 seconds sounds clearly like a PDK shift to me - that should answer the suggestions that the shift paddles were decoys .
Also interesting they were following a GTR - timed lap comparisons??
2011 Range Rover Sport S/C, 2009 Porsche 911S
Nice! Looks like Mr Röhrl behind the steering wheel

New 991 GT3 and Turbo will be equiped with 20" wheels only. According to my source that is for sure. Gearbox choice for both models is interesting and contraversial at the same time.

PDK only? I really hope they offer the manual option.
Looks-wise, the GT3 needs some work still if you ask me, especially the rear: the moving part of the wing looks ok, but doesnt match the base of the wing. Also, the bumper might need some more "definition" imo...
Hope these cars are not the finished product yet!

Thanks Kreso! Any news on the engine side? ...especially the dry sump issue? This will determine whether this car will serve as a homologation car for the next RSR or not.

Thank you for the link. More of the same really besides the concealed red strip at the back and perhaps a few mm of extra width(?). I wish they added some more styling details to differentiate the RWD from the AWD.
Is this ugly front spoiler lip, part of the -20mm chassis?

Teamspeed says the yellow sticker is hiding a reflector strip. I beg to differ. My guess is that it is hiding an inlet /outlet kind of slat under the wing. The corners seem to give away some kind of recession under the moving part of the wing.
Also, making the reflector strip that narrow would look almost as silly as the reflector strip on the 997 ...
An inlet/outlet on the Carrera 4? That would surely be something new. I don't see the functional reason for this and it would scare off the Carrera 4 customers en masse. Hence IMHO I find it very unlikely.
As the previous spy pics reveled there appears to be a red reflector underneath the sticker. Unless this is a double disguise to fool us all

I think we will see a red reflector for Carrera 4/S and an air in/outlet for the GT3/RS at this spot.

Yes, it is. Personally, I like it much more then "unfinished" look of standard front lip. Also, thanks to that "ugly" front lip 991 in Carrera form is producing some downforce on the front.

Same here. I think it looks rather good, but I think at a yellow car it just doesn't look right. Front lip surely looks better with black, grey or even white.

SoCal Alan:
I think the red reflector strip looks silly on (and adds no real purpose to ) a 997, and it would probably be the same on a 991.
I got used to the look of the red stripe at a 997.
I guess the main reason for Porsche to continue this stripe also at the 991 is because it is THE distinctive feature between RWD and AWD.

I saw it in real and it does look very nice. Makes the car look much more sporty. But I agree it does not look best on yellow ( at least on that pic )
Targa looks very interesting. I wonder how the system works. It looks like it is the roof of the cab..

Gnil, I think that roof is just a mock-up, I'm assuming it will look much like the Ruf Targa-version of the 997.
