Re: Picked up my C63 AMG Coupe PP
Update on my C63 experience:
1. Car is real fun but traction issues can be annoying at times, driving with ESP completely turned off on public streets scares the sh.t out of me (and of others for that matter... ), not recommended.
2. The exhaust/engine sound is just pure heaven. I just can't get enough of it, the sound alone is half of the fun with this car.
3. I started to enjoy oversteer, I actually catch myself throwing a car through a curve to provoke oversteer but I can't do that very often (public streets, not recommended).
4. The car has amazing power and whenever I turn the ESP sport handling mode on, I get reminded of it.
5. Car feels lighter than it is but it still lacks the super direct steering and throttle response feel of my former Carrera GTS Cab, I just realized that. Still the sportiest Mercedes I ever drove, amazing for so "little" money.
6. Everybody seems to like this car, no negative comments from anybody, which is something new for me.
7. The perfect daily driver: Enough and comfortable room for four persons (kids love the rear), a huge trunk for such a car, fuel consumption is around 18 l / 100 km...if I don't drive on the Autobahn. Then it goes over 21 l / 100 km.
A last word: I still can't believe that the C63 AMG Coupe PP is street legal in Germany. The exhaust sound is so loud. When I have my windows and the sunroof open, over 3000 rpm, hell breaks loose and people on the sidewalk, even in a wider distance, turn their heads. Unbelievable. This is usually the only moment I get negative reactions from people...usually the typical middle finger. Btw: Only the SLS and the C63 sound that loud, the other AMG models are a notch quieter, incl. the older N/A E63 and CLS 63 AMG.
