80000 km? I don't know... For 30k EUR? Hmm. This car is at the price limit for this kind of mileage. Unless the car is of course 100% clean and technically OK.
Keep one thing in mind: If you are getting a used 964, count in another 5000 EUR for possible repairs.
Make sure the engine is completely "dry", which is kind of difficult if the seller is clever. 80000 km are not much if the engine is OK. Make sure that the car has a well documented maintenance history.
Also make sure that the car had NO accidents. Even smaller accidents can have a big impact (rust, etc.).
Check if there is rust or something weird looking (paint not OK) around the window frames (front and rear).
To make sure that you don't get framed by the seller, they love selling cars with much more km's onboard with a lower mileage, try to compare the Clock and the Speedometer: You need to take them out and look at the production week date imprint on them. If the difference between both is more than two weeks, the speedometer has been very likely exchanged and of course the mileage is not correct. Just a little hint...

RC - did you view all 20 photos on the link? Pages 17, 18 & 19 look like a pretty good indication of a well documented maintenance history.
The photos are very clear and comprehensive... I agree with Aaron that it looks mint...although, to be absolutely sure, your observations are obviously very relevant..

Look at the progression of dates and mileage! In the last 7+ years on 12K miles, dramatically different from prior years useage. Just saying. At best, if the mileage is correct, it has been sitting around a lot! I almost would rather have more miles on it. Repairs can eat you alive and that early version (Gen1) of the four wheel drive system is heavy and complex. For that much money you can get a NEW Boxster in the US and run circles around that old car. Look for a 993! That would be the best old 911 for the money or a 996 if you want to go water cooled.
In the US the 964 was never loved but it is getting more popular because it is air cooled.

He specifically is dreaming about this car and has found what appears to be a very nicely preserved sample. I'd say, as RC says, make sure it's as good as it looks. Hence my suggestion for a proper Porsche mechanic check-up. Of course you should also look for the common stuff, rust, body damage etc etc but that's a given.
Special attention to this car, i'd say the 4 wheel drive system. Give it a good test drive, test all gears, driving conditions, let it shift across the range etc. You should definitely keep some money on the side and i'd also change all fluids including the transmission fluid after purchase, just to be on the safe side.
Let us know what comes of it, it's a lovely car and a very nice 964 sample

Hello guys
Before all..thanks a lot for your comments.
As I said, I'm just looking for the "dream", and for the money could be a good choice.
In fact I'm not a Porsche expert, that’s why I'm chasing this forum :) but the 4 wheel drive doesn’t give me confidence!!
In Portugal we give more credit to a car that have all service records, had been bought in the country not imported, and this model meets both requisites :)
The guy told me that the car is in fact stopped for a long time...only one owner from new.
For me that unfortunately don’t own the jackpot, I need a reliability model and that could stay in family for a long time.
I really appreciate your opinions.
Thanks a lot
Paulo
