Thanks Jon and RC, :) I did a google search to try and find them, any ideas where the best place is to get the clear side markers?

I'm open to any other aesthetic recommendations? :)

I think you can get them from your dealer. I'm pretty sure that I asked my dealer to replace them before I took delivery...

One of the best places to get accessories is Suncoast Porsche in Florida, extremely helpful, they mailed stuff to me in the United Kingdom and their prices even with shipping and tax were far cheaper than the dealers here could match. Here's a link to their website, for inspiration!

I had a couple of garage queens, mostly 911 and I decided to stop it. It doesn't make sense driving such a car for 30 minutes per week only. I always got very melancholic when I had to put the car key back into the drawer.

I stopped kidding myself...and ordered a Panamera Turbo S. At least I can drive this car with my family together.

The issue we have is two extremes - I drive 80 miles (130km) per day commute from home to where I work, which would be a killer financially using a Porsche. My wife's place of work is only 2 miles (3km) from home and short trips like that would also be no good mechanically. So she has her shopping trolley (Honda Jazz) and I have my Clockwork Rat. Can't think of any way we can come down to two cars if one of them is a Porsche, much as we'd like to. Hence the Garage Queen.

80 miles - that is not bad news. I would drive home for lunch each day too (actually I do drive home for lunch each day :-))! A financial killer is not driving the car and selling it in 3 years and taking the same hit as if you had driven it. Then again you know I don't care about miles...

My suggestion-, drive the car to work each day for a week and let me know if that was not a ton of fun. Makes work seem less like work if you can jump into the 991 and enjoy a little 40 mile drive home. It will get you out of bed in morning really well too!

Enjoy, be happy. Smile into the rear view mirror for 80 miles each day!

Thanks for your tips - I actually do drive the P car to work on most Fridays (traffic is lighter as a fair proportion of people where I work are on a four day week and take Friday off. For the rest of us not so fortunate to be on that contract we finish at 12:30hrs on Fridays, so traffic is lighter than than normal "rush hour" and I can safely do a slightly faster 70 mph Smiley than I normally would.

What Is The Point of the Orange Sidemarkers

Gnil, I saw a discussion about "What Is The Point of the Orange Sidemarkers" on MBW world thought it was interesting and a little funny here: http://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w204/324479-what-point-orange-sidemarkers.html

I'm wondering now if it is legal in the State where I have my car registered!!! I think if the actual bulb is orange it's ok (which mine is).

Atzporsche: Thanks, I'm open to any other aesthetic or other modification recommendations. My car is pretty much "basic", the only extra thing it came with was the sunroof. I tinted the windows and powder coated the wheels black.
