Cracked manifolds
As per the title, the car is having some attention from Hartech at the moment. Short story is that both exhaust manifolds have cracks in. Cost is about a grand each side.
Note, it has been 'ticking' for about 3 years now. Revently has become an obvious exhaust blow. OPC diagnosed firstly a joint in the middle of the exhaust, and then at a later date (after I got that fixed) that it was actually likely the exhaust manifold gasket.... And by the way sir, changing the gaskets is a tricky job.
It seems the bolts are prone to snapping on removal. Why is it always like this with Porsche? How hard is it to fit bolts and fixings that don't disintigrate in a couple of years? Seriously?
