no, it's a transam, lol!!! it's my border collie :D
I was already trying to work out which two husky-type breed names would combine to give "Transam" , until I read the second sentence.
Back-lighting certainly can transform a Collie.

dreamcar, make sure you buy a good radar detector if you're going to do that in the USA, i learned my lesson the hardway!!!! :o
Thanks for the tip! - I'll bring one with me in case you don't leave yours in the car.............
Love the black wheels BTW, any chance of some nice outdoor pics please when your next out?
I have a similar issue with our 997 - my daily drive to work is 80 miles, hence the Clockwork Rat, but when I do get in the P car I perhaps appreciate it even more than if it was a daily drive.

Interesting thread this is...my 2cts: leaving the financial issues aside one does not get a porsche, because one's head tells to do so, but because the heart says: Go, go, go...!! And, if your heart says: Go ! then go, go, go and, if not, then simply keep a smile on your face saying: I could go for a drive, if I wanted to - what a brilliant thought I think this is, isn't it ? At least this is, how it works with me. By the way, and, what other RTs have already pointed out - a good battery charger is certainly a must-have.

Definitely - our P car is on Charge-o-Mat life support if it's not going to be used for more than a couple of weeks. That's most of the winter when my work keeps me from doing anything else.

I had a couple of garage queens, mostly 911 and I decided to stop it. It doesn't make sense driving such a car for 30 minutes per week only. I always got very melancholic when I had to put the car key back into the drawer.
I stopped kidding myself...and ordered a Panamera Turbo S. At least I can drive this car with my family together.
Maybe, if the stock markets keep making me happy, I will go for a 991 Turbo in two or three years but for now, my 911 addiction is over.

....true, but,....at least you still have something worth to put a smile on your face after all, though I am still surprised that you keep emphazising your affection for this four seater vehicle concept with its scientifically old fashioned turbo charged combustion engine...BAZINGA

The issue we have is two extremes - I drive 80 miles (130km) per day commute from home to where I work, which would be a killer financially using a Porsche. My wife's place of work is only 2 miles (3km) from home and short trips like that would also be no good mechanically. So she has her shopping trolley (Honda Jazz) and I have my Clockwork Rat. Can't think of any way we can come down to two cars if one of them is a Porsche, much as we'd like to. Hence the Garage Queen.

Without kids, I would clearly have a 911 garage queen in my garage but since my weekends are family weekends, the 911 just doesn't make sense. Unless I would give a rat's ass about my kids and wife...
I enjoy spending the weekend with my family, so I have no choice but get rid of my 911. Life is tough.

Don't know why, but every time I see your name I think of Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales - one of my favourite places...

Stayed very close to Beaumaris a couple of years ago (Henllys, just up the road). Personally didn't rate Anglesea that much apart from the view of the Menai Straits, but good place as a base to explore Snowdonia. Sorry, I digress from topic

The coloured side markers are a blot on an otherwise flawless landscape.
Remove those and you have a truly beautiful 911...
