...but i think the front intakes/LED of the 981 would not suit the 991, what do you think ??
We will know in 3-4 years, if Porsche follows their 997 history they will just stick a 981.1 style front bumper on the 991 facelift.
Only 10 days until the Geneva show!

The new Boxster looks as good as any mid-engined roadster even from higher classes.
Silver is my favourite colour:
Can anyone confirm if this color is Platinum Silver or GT Silver??
I drove a Panamera ub Platinum Silver over the weekend. From the last pic I would say it is definitely Platinum Silver, since it looks exactly as on the Panamera.
(Very nice shade of silver BTW)

The secret of life is to admire without desiring.
I'm pretty sure it's Platinum. If you put the dealer colour swatches of Platinum and GT silver side by side it is very hard to tell them apart. My dealer had a 987.2 Boxster in Platinum sat next to a 997GTS cab in GT silver and they looked the same. Platinum has a slight hint of gold whilst GT has a slight hint of blue but the differences are so subtle most people would fail to notice. I'd recommend looking closely at both and saving a lot of money by opting for Platinum. The slight gold hint goes better with Carrera Red.
Here is a pic of the Platinum swatch next to Carrera red leather. The Platinum grey leather was only there to show what Platinum stitching would look like colour wise.

I totally agree on the characteristics of these two hues but this perceived similarity might be due to the lighting in the dealership. Platinum looks great but this slight hint of gold is something I´d not necessarily want on a sportscar. On the other hand, I do believe that GT silver features a different specification of metallic flakes in the paint and therefore provides a different impression in certain light conditions.
Not sure whether the premium is worth it but I find GT silver to be one of the most appropriate colors on a Porsche.
they are carrying that yellow pretty well imo. lights on the front end look good as well
i wonder if the rag top roof got the same treatment as the 991 roof?

New top has VASTLY bigger blind spot in rear . Not too keen on the headlights (look more Japanese!). Like the yellow but not very stealth: ticket-me-yellow !! Would opt for white/blue top/blue interior..........Really like the placement of the rear park assist UNDER THE BUMPER on either side of the exhaust !

Sorry, in my opinion, Porsche blundered w/ the rear spoiler. It actually looks worse in the photos.
i think it looks great on the new Boxster just as it looked great on the 918 spyder

Just to show the superiority of the 987.2's front end.
The new Boxster looks really fat and bug eyed. I hate the bulging headlights and boxy fenders. Very awkward design. So far, overall, I like the 991 and 981, but compared to the 997 and 987, there is no comparison. 997 and 987 hands down in all categories in my book.
