BlackOctober:
It will look very very close to that rendering....even too close
Quite probably - as this is it!

I think that was already posted, so there is nothing new at this time, but.....if we wait a little bit....

Wonderbar:
Depends on the rims. In Carrara's rendering the rims are probably more aggressive than will be offered, but Porsche will have some good "manly" ones available. Just painted black will also make a manly difference...
The wheels in these are actually ADV.1s.
An thanks everyone for the compliments! I did in fact base the design of the air intakes on those latest spy shots.

I can't see the 981 Cayman offering any big surprises - just the new Boxster with a coupe top, like the present one. It would be great if the car had the 345bhp 3.4 of the base Carrera, but of course Porsche's unfounded paranoia that it would take sales from the Carrera would prevent that happening. So, I fear that like the Boxster there will be a pathetic 5 bhp uplift on the current car.

Pathetic is indeed the key word - especially given the price one will be paying for a well specced car.

Did you see the video of a Boxster Spyder outrunning an Audi R8 Spyder V8 on the track? This was posted in another thread.
Sometimes, it is not the ingredients but the recipe.

Has anybody managed to get the factory to make P seats which are a combination of leather and the red/black fabric which could be from the late 50's and was updated in a recent luggage set. I envision the seat and back rest in fabric and the rest in black leather. Early GT1 from VW had similar fabric. Combined with GT silver I think it would look very "retro" in the new Boxster. Europeans may have this option which the US is unaware of.
Thanks for any guidance

Apparently, Porsche Exclusive will do anything you want, at a price.
You will need to wait until 981 production ramps up a before full Exclusive becomes available.
Email Porsche Exclusive .. they are very helpful.

The Boxster Spyder is probably one of the greatest Porsches of all time.
+1
I love this car !!

Me too - despite my compulsive car purchasing habits am struggling to find anything that will get me out of mine at the moment.
Looking forward to seeing the new Boxster in the flesh though, still not quite doing it for me on the pictures, but am happy to be proved otherwise :D
