hi Lars997 ,
SLS : this SLS has B &O stereo option in it . u can check following pic ...... of coz SLS is the best . Well balanced . it is almost Front 50% and REAR 50%. i drove 244km/hr with SLS i could go even faster due to the safety car is C63 so i can not pass in structor .. i even made the safety car over heat engine temp over 143degree i can show u My driving chart with SLS compare with Head instructor . My instructor said he is going to issue DTM driver license to me ....hahahha ( he said my driving chart has nothing to complain about it . almost same as head instructor ..
S65 : it is nice interior . but it is heavy car .... easiler to get ESP on ....too much power ... it will make u slow .....
CLS63 with performance package : it is new engine 5.5L Twin turbo ..very nice car. i like it ..... very easy to drive ...it can do be daily drive car .
C63 with performance package : 485HP it is nice car . easy to drive too ..... can be daily drive car too ..
OF coz SLS is best for race track . CLS and C63 r good car too ...
Many thanks again - Im really tempted to get an SLS. This car is growing and growing on me. I just come back from an afternoon out. My friend is driving a C63 - enormous machine - this engine simply rocks.
Congrats to your performance, seems you have the gods to drive fast. Thanks for the pictures - enjoy, Lars
unfortunately the b&o sound system in the sls is SHIT. the logic 7 harman in the c63 is by far better.
the bass in the sls is terrible. and i keep the settings usually on flat or maximum +2. in the sls it totally distorts.
marketing hype over function....
lars, have you driven an sls ? if you think the c63 with PP is enormous, wait till you drive/hear the sls engine. different worlds......
and i am talking only engine setup not putting suspension and car characteristics into the equation

We are just looking for a weekend where we will have a Testcar from AMG. Problem is, that i dont have available weekends before February and then we probably are in the middle of the winter. The AMG salesman is calling every week and would do anything possible, but year end rally in the job as well as having planned to go to Canada/US in Januar for 3 weeks makes it real though.
I'm very curious to look forward. All my friends which have been driving the SLS are confirming what you are saying. As the new 991 doesnt hit us at all, I really are looking forward to the SLS. Initial plan was to go for a 991 in the next year and my wife wanted to have a MB Pagode. The more we think about I guess the Pagode might be nice but never really fascinating with driving ability. Further on, one more car also means another one which is standing around (did drive my 997 only for 1500km this year). So the SLS might be able to do the trick providing the driving fascination and the Pagode look together
indeed Lars.......you will love it based on what we spoke about cars. it is a daily thrill without even having to go 6/10th...
you will not have to drive this car hard to realize it 'works'....on the contrary the sls does not really initiate you to drive aggressively. very different from my 997 turbo that i had. there i always was pushing it to get a sense of what i am driving.

That's exactly what I thought about my 997.1 Turbo. It only felt special when pushing hard and even then sounded more frantic than good. Wish Porsche could get their turbos to sound as good as MB's. Still prefer NA engines, especially big V8's.
Planning to attend the AMG Driving Academy next year as well. Especially their GT3 programme where you can drive the SLS GT3. Anybody experienced with that or able to provide alternatives? Unfortunately, there is only one date left this year in September where I won´t be able to attend, so planning for next year or looking for alternatives in Winter.
