Re: C63 AMG arrived
I wonder how the car will behave under wet conditions but I think the missing point is the rain.

Just imagine...a C63 with SLS engine, AWD and the same weight. Booyah...
Just wait for the black series.... unfortunately the AWD will stay a dream!
1.650 kg, HP 500+, AWD ?
We call it "Porsche Turbo S"

Fortunately you mean nothing like RWD for pure driving pleasure
J.Seven
Actually you are right. I'm myself not a AWD fan at all. AWD is made for SUVs and thats it!
PureBlue:
I can understand why AWD would be seen as an advantage in snow-bound regions of Switzerland or Germany, but why on earth would you need it in Egypt? Driftsand?
simply for the reaso that the car has too little grip in its current state with the PP.
intouch1:
yup, i am on sport as soon as the oil is warm....
Just one question:
with "sport" you mean "ESP off" and the display shows "Sport handling mode", right?
So far as I can see the drive select button "C,S,S+,M" ins't influencing the ESP status.
THX in advance. Just now I've a C63 PP+ for a testdrive over the weekend. I will report my impressions soon....
sport the transmission into a more aggressive mode and makes ESP a little less sensitive.
sport plus allows the car to step out even more.
to switch off ESP you will have to push the ESP button for a few seconds.
M mode allows for manual shifting only. no auto up-or downshifts and no kickdown function available.
looking forward to your impressions....i love the car and enjoy every second of driving it.

conny, i looked through the manual as well.....and as you noticed, it's not referenced.
maybe i was just imagining it.....i have not fully stepped on it. but i felt the rear to feel looser in s mode....but maybe it's actually to do with the car starting in 1st gear in s vs 2nd gear in c mode.
will get back once i have had a chance to really try it....
it would be easier to notice on wet roads...so will await your input as well.
guess my butt was right....

Now the ESP thing seems to be disclosed for me:
The C63 has a 3-stage ESP, (On-Sport handling-Off) which is not affected by the programselector.
The selector in position S and S +, influences the transmission up- and downshift and the spontaneity of the throttle response.
As you mentioned before, in S or S+ the C 63 behaves more sporty and combined with the LSD the wheels spinning even with ESP ON. Very much fun though!
