Wow, great to hear these words from him! What a story.
So he was unconscious as a result of the accident impact, and lost blood, but says he can feel his arm and fingers. This leads me to believe his hands were left ok and that his blood vessels got severe cutting... He is even more lucky than we though i think. All the best to him and im glad he is recovering already. It's certainly a long road ahead, but drivers have incedible mind power and determination.
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

Talk about wanting the team not to do well in his absence - so that his eventual return makes a difference. Kubica obviously knows that Heidfeld would do nearly as well in the job as he would have done.

No hard feeling about Liuzzi but this would be my least favourite decision for a replacement. Cannot remember that he performed spectacular in any races so far. It is actually somewhat ironic that Heidfeld, his former teammate and certainly not his closest friend in F1, could potentially benefit from a competitive car this season.

Kubica isn't stupid - he's playing selfish politics - I don't think he was friends with Heidfeld when they were team mates at BMW.
IMHO the team should come first - Renault knows what it should do (the case for Heidfeld is beyond doubt) - but Kubica doesn't like it - will they do what's best for them or what Kubica wants?

Glad to hear his recovery is said to go according to plan... I wish him all the best. Certainly, his weight is back and he is walking now, that's good news. I wish him a full recovery, otherwise he may never race F1 again.

Very curious how he will perform if he comes back. The fact that he can return is an achievement in itself, guess that no medical efforts have been spared. I do like his fighting spirit, would be great to see him being joined by Senna next season. Cannot imagine that Petrov will get the seat, at least if it is primarily based on his driving.
Kubica has had such a great impact in Poland, guess only Adam Malysz has had a similiar status in recent years.

What a heavy price to pay for some rallying he did in his free time ... the whole of the 2011 season was lost, Renault went through Heidfeld, Senna and now possibly Grosjean to replace him.
I hope he makes it back. I guess the issue is that, even if he does make it back to F1, will he be the same again? Only time will tell.

I'm afraid Kubica is finished as a serious F1 challenger. That there is so much talk about him returning is a sign of the talent drought in F1. Young talents like Vettel do not appear every year. Let's hope the new RBR protege Jean-Eric Vergne rises to the challenge.
