Cigarette racing team is still based in Miami but all their work now is custom and I don't think there is anything under 38 feet anymore. There was a previous Mercedes Cigarette if memory recalls that was done around the time of the SLR. That AMG looks like 50-60 feet and w/ 3100HP probably good for 70-75mph. Big numbers and even bigger money.

Those are all over the lake of the ozarks. Neighbor had one for years from the original Miami factory. We have poker runs and top speed shoot outs on the lake all the time. Some well over 180mph. Unlimited hydroplanes and drag boats as well. No speed limit at the lake except at night. It is good fun and there is lots of money being spent. 1300 miles of shoreline.
You can buy a two year old boat, same company, and go faster for half the money. Really bad investment when new. The most fun guage is the gallons per hour one. There is one for each motor. You can spend thousands on gas in one weekend. Not exactly green but an effective Panty removal device.
They are also known as compensators. If you don't see it take another look.

if its not too rough these things cruise comfortably at 80-90 mph above 100 mph you get a good face massage 
here I am doing 80 comfortably

No. You wear life vests. You need to be thrown clear and float when unconscious. Being in a sinking boat unconscious and belted in would be certain death. Even the drag boats eject the driver in a crash unless they are inside a floating survival shell. The force of the water flipping the boats can be so severe to just want to be clear of it sailing through the air on your own. When racing to do also wear special helmets.

Italy introduced that stupid law that not more than three persons (incl. the one doing wake boarding or waterskiing) can be on the boat, so going out with the boat with my wife and the two kids is basically illegal now. My wife loves wake boarding but it is not possible, unless you brake the law and Italian police is quite on the lookout for tourists who brake the law.

I live on the biggest lake of Western continental Europe . There is lots of space to play around .One of the last place of freedom in Switzerland. No speed limits. Not many rules. And yes , the lake does hit around 24 degrees in summer. I can take 12 persons on this boat

Nah, we love Lake Garda but the new waterskiing/wake boarding rules are really annoying as hell.

Very stupid indeed. 
We don't have our own boat and whenever we want to rent one with wake boarding/water skiing equipment, they see us four people and they don't allow it. We cannot ignore this rule for insurance reasons and of course because of the police (they love to check on tourists but they are usually very nice).
Funny: if we are doing wake boarding or water skiing with a professional school, there is no restriction regarding the number of passengers on the boat. Weird.
