A correction to my earlier post about rear lettering options. There are only three options now available:
1. Leave as is with Porsche block lettering, 911 and Carrera S (or Carrera).
2. Block lettering with 911 under it in the middle. It is not possible now to have block lettering and Carrera lettering without 911.
3. Block lettering alone.
On another issue, when the aerokit option becomes available next year, a spoiler will extend above the duck tail spoiler which remains fixed. The duck tail does not rise.

I think, now the propotions and the size of 911 is just perfect. Porsche did great job by decreasing the weight about 40 kg and it is even better. I didn't like my 997.1 at all. I quite like the 997.2. Now I very much like the 991.

Have seen the car yesterday. The car does, at least to me, look bigger than the previous generations. Interior is very nice, the base of the windscreen has moved forward a bit which gives more depth to the dashboard and provides a more spacious feel. Legroom is definitely improved, according to the technician they moved the pedals forward, and in a proper driving position I found discernible legroom in the back (compared to the 997). Did not try the backseats but headroom would be definitely an issue.
Cannot share the resentment about the interior, most of the parts have a very good feel to it. The switches on the centreconsole are certainly a matter of taste, not necessarily the very best solution. The switch for the sunroof is another ingenious strike á la PDK puddles, but the size of the roof might make up for it. Manual gearbox did not appear to be shifting as smooth as the one in the 997 but that might be a matter of calibration and not an issue on the production models. Standard steering wheel is very cheap looking so, at least in my opinion, ordering the SportDesign wheel is almost immanent. The backside of the sportseat "plus" option is painted in silver colour and blend in better than the previous sportseats´ backrests in volcano silver.
The ducktail spoiler looks very good in reality, it is still a subject of preference but far more elegant and integrated than the pictures might suggest. The SportDesign bumper makes a difference as well, especially in the context of my above comment about the car´s frontend. Both items do make a difference to the car but do not go as far as the previous or upcoming aerokits.

Alot of people have commented over the months about not judging it until you see it in the flesh - Easy and RC perhaps more than most.
...Something struck me yesterday when I watched an amateur video clip of the blue car at Frankfurt on youtube: looking at all the pictures up until now, generally taken from mid-car height without people in the shots, you start seeing a big car - only when I saw the moving picture with the video camera held at normal eye-level, and watched people get in and out of it, did I realise that it's still very much a little 911 sportscar...
Kinda obvious perhaps to most Rennteamers, but then I don't live with a 911 yet (2 months to go!!), so my perspective suffers from lack of daily familiarity...

Carrageous:
I like the blue here, it shows off the lines very well. And the chrome trim around he elements looks good, too. I think it has a nice, hot rod look to it that I wasn't expecting. Looks tough and take-charge.
I think it's kind of wierd to have the chrome trim around the side windows but not the front and back.
