When we look at the exterior of the car there is not much that surprises us. More and bigger spoilers make the car generate more downforce. We don’t see the air intakes before the rear wheels, we expect to see that on the Porsche 991 GT2 (RS). We don’t know for sure how many models Porsche will come up with but we will know this all in the next two to four years. We can expect the Porsche 991 GT3 in 2013.
The only question left: where is the Porsche 991 Carrera 4S?

@BlackSparrow
Press release of 4/4S models is in the next days ( 1-4 ) because release of Christophorus 357 is next week showing 4/4S models as main theme.

Thanks for the pics :) 4s is glorious. It looks like 991 had a facelift.
The most noticable facelift change from 997 to 997.2 was the red stripe between rear lights. Like usual all the current owners that just got their shiny vehicles are feeling that they own a "previous generation".

Sounds like Heel-Toe downshifts are a thing of past with new C4S (I bet Manual GT3 will have this too):

"In Sport Plus mode, the system automatically double-declutches during downshifts."

I curious to what they are refering to as automatically double-declutching and how that affects the manual downshift procedure by the driver... wasn't that a technique needed back in the old days when gearboxes didn't have syncros?

Correct. I wonder too what it's all about.
Probably rev--matching (which I try to do with any manual gearbox I operate)...

My guess is that it's similar to the system used by Nissan with the 370Z (moving the gear lever creates an automatic rev-match by the computer).

The 991 C4 looks good, but it really is a shame the direction Porsche is taking. On the web special, all they do is brag about the luxury, and stupid acronyms like PTV, PDK, PDCC, that all mean nothing, and there are absolutely no technical diagrams at all, like there used to be on all of their old web specials. And on old web specials they would brag how you can still get it with a pure, natural manual, now it's almost like they assume everyone will buy a PDK. And the auto throttle blip is BS.
