993Targa:
Have you seen sandweiss in real life? It's as white as the white on the 997. The 997 has a bit of grey blue and the sandweiss a bit yellow. Don't confuse it with the creme that is offered on the 997.
A plain white might look like a delivery van, because it's too hard. But anyway whe are discussing shades of white here I think both will look similar, only parked side by side you will see the difference. I'll stop by at my dealer and have a look at an espresso interior and ask his opinion.
Yeah there's a white one in our university, it is a very subtle white but I think the bit of creme makes it into a warm white, and I think a colder tone would make the car look a bit more sporty. We're splitting hairs really but I think it makes sense. Also it may depend a lot on the place where you live, scenery and climate
RC:
.No sport exhaust? Highly recommended too.

Did anyone order the sport exhaust and what is the verdict? I'm tempted
2012 Cayenne S White/Espresso delivery Oct 2011
ISUK:
Wheels are down to individual taste but the turbo 2's really suit the Sand white especially with the black exterior package. With PASM the ride quality is excellent.
At the end I gave in and added the 21" Turbo wheels to the order . It's final now, delivery is a bit earlier, 2nd week of September .

Thanks guys!
@Porker At the end I didn't go for the sport exhaust, but I must say I'm happy with the sound. It's loud enough for people to turn their head if you are approaching.
@Gnil & Darius I like the white too. I wanted a less provoking look because of the negative image big SUVs here have (all my other Porsches were black). The black lights and black package still give it a sporty aggressive look.
The interior also turned out really nice. Opted for the wheel with paddles. Looks great!

+1 Exactly
There is now new color (since Sept. 2010) Brilliant White which is metalic white with a slight cream shade in it, for E92 M3. M3 looks more "elegant" with this color and Alpin white which is a solid white looks more sporty and aggresive since "solid white" is colder. Solid white w/black and without any chrome around is just perfect for Motorsport purposes.

For the Cayenne a solid white will replace the sand-white at the end of the year. We considered this too, but decided to go for the sand white any way.
Main reason, We've seen the sand white in real life and like it. Also the warmer white goes well with the Espresso interior.
Second reason we would have to wait until Oct/Nov for delivery. We are expecting twins in a few weeks so this would be not ideal.

Congrats for the new Cayenne. Enjoy her in good health. Very nicely specced car; especially the interior color, steering wheel, black-out exterior parts and wheels.
The bigger congrats for the twins Sept. 2011 must be very important time of your live.
