I tried for PTS, but my build slot is too early. So they declined the requested. I wanted to go signal green
Get a later build slot for the sake of our viewing pleasure! 4.0 in Signal Green would be stunning! 
I know it's not the same but you could try a wrap?

I would if it were that easy. I am trying to get a later slot, but I don't want to give up my existing one. A later slot is not guaranteed. If I manage to get one, I can always sell the white 4.0 on.

What a coincidence! I was actually going for "Gelb gruen", but after consulting with one of the brand managers for our region. He said I stood a better chance picking an existing and recently used colour, might not slow down production too much. To go Gelb gruen would lessen my chances, so I requested signal. No luck in any event

Thanks Gnil! I know, I am trying so hard. I've never put this much effort in trying to get approval for paint!! I want it in some form of green so badly.
@Porker: I was not very clear about my use of "recently used paints". Porsche and most manufacturers switched over to water based paints in the 90's. Gelb gruen was a colour from the 70's. For them to mix up a new version of it in water based would take longer than signal green for instance.

I haven't seen one in details but many shows on TV have promoted this "trend" - where people change for summer their Bentley's from black to white etc - and from a distance it looks rather good - but of course don't know how satisfactory it is when you open the doors
Anyhow I am sure yr dealer can pass the request to Germany to get it done before shipping and probably worth a try if they don't damage the original paint.. Haven't see the real thing - but considering how happy I am with the RS 3.8 - I am sure you will appreciate what it is despite being a bit spoiled

I would look into that Bjoern, but I'm not confident about the quality of work we have available here.
I agree i have seen some bad wrapping jobs on cars where they have cut the film on the car and ended up going through to the paint, or worse into the carbon fibre !!!
I did not let Porsche in Stuttgart put paint film on my car as when i pushed them they admitted they would have to cut the film on the car. I ended up using a guy in the UK who does not cut on the car..

Nick, in essence it will be two cars. I have a white one coming and confirmed. I requested another later build as I can't move dates of my existing slot around.
If I succeed, the white one will be sold. If not, I still have the white one.
