    Hey Guys,

what do you guys think of the resale value on this puppy, is it gonna be one of those collector items? or at least maintain value??

It all depends how good the 991 GT3 is.

I think that car would be mesmerizing in gulf colors!

    Please keep us informed!

I don' think Porsche allows Gulf Blue on Paint to Sample, but if you customize a color just slightly different in color they will accept it.  Sounds like a great way to go...

He might just do white, and then do a matte vinyl wrap in Gulf

That what I thought when I bought my 2011 GT3RSSmiley....Who would have thought they'd come out with another/hotter version after the .2 RS-especially with the 991 soon to be released? Not wanting to take a bath, I'll likely keep this one for now and wait for the next gen RS. The Porsche marketing maching got me good this time, I'll be much more careful next time.

As they're apparently open to custom orders, you might want to consider a Signal Yellow color scheme?

Superb looking, and a fitting nod to 2.8 RSR's of old...

    Re: GT3 RS 4.0

Minor detail but is there a difference in the stability control compared to the "regular" GT3's? The reason I'm asking is that the button in the pictures above shows "ESC" whereas on my 997GT3 it reads "SC" without the "E"...

Guess my laptop has state-of-the-art stability control! Smiley

It has an ESC button on the keyboard. Smiley

Hehe, now that you mention it, Fritz. They can't be serious with ESC, unless there's a police escape function behind it.

    Re: GT3 RS 4.0

I certainly agree with your comments regarding the M3 (295 lb from a V8??  Disappointing/ embarrassing to say the least).   Unfortunately, torque is what throws you back in you seat and this is what is typically missing in porsches (forced induction excluded).  Porsche always seems to hold back on their engines true potential.

    Re: GT3 RS 4.0

I am almost sure MIKE in an earlier post said "no more cars this year"....dammit I should have made a bet, it would have been like money in the bank...

Great decision, Mike Smiley You can't blame Porsche for making such fantastic toys Smiley
As for the Gulf colour scheme (which I love): a friend of mine wanted his 997.2 GT3 in Gulf colour, but Porsche did not allow (due some remote legal background which I can't recall in detail). Finally he got Mexico Blue - I think the GT3 with the Belgian numberplate also is Mexico Blue or Riviera Blue ?).

Maybe in your case Porsche will make an exception with the colour Smiley

    Re: GT3 RS 4.0

We are 10 people on the waiting list for this car in Lebanon and the dealer just informed us that his allocation which was originally 4 cars has now been trimmed to 1 car.  Let me tell you there are many upset porsche customers in Beiru a the moment.  Especially when we found out that 17 cars are going to Bahrain which is even a smaller market than ours!!

It Is Riviera. I know the car to.

As for the 4.0, I like it in black (or blue, but not Riviera)...
