    Fuchs Wheels

The Porsche Fuchs wheels are growing on me, I am thinking about swapping the OE wheels with them, should I?

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

    The ones on the Sportclassic?

They look awesome in real life, so if you like, them, I'd say go for it!

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

I'm not sure they'll look so good on a dark car

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

They look great but I would do a photoshop job on the actual car they are intended for, just to make sure they fit visually.

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

Yeah, that's the one. Porsche called it the Sports Classic wheel, as Fuchs is someone else's trademark, but I still called it Fuchs.

My photoshop skills is limited to find the program in the menu and double click to open, I am clueless on what happen after.

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

i really think they look great on the cars they were supplied oem with.

somehow to me they do not look right on the 997.

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

Oh come on, the 911 Sports Classic is still a 997............

Or were you talking about the old old 911s with Fuchs wheels?

I think they look cute, :) plus something different than every other 997 with Champion Motorsports, HRE or any other 'in' wheels.

I liked the BBS FI wheels too, but they are impossible to get here.

Same for the GT3 wheels, but there are quite a few 997TT with them on.

Just came back from Vegas with pocket full of money courtesy of Mr. Wynn, and the first thing that crosses my mind was to spend it on my Porsche. My wife wasn't too happy about spending on the car instead of her though. Wait till she finds out I might get a SLS.

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

Here are a couple of 997s fitted with the Fuchs style wheels. Apologies that the pic quality isn't great.

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

I think they look great on a "plain" Carrera(the wing is already too much) but not that great on a Turbo. Thanks for the photos.

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

    Thanks, ISUK,

from certain angle ,the wheel looks good, from other,s not so much, wierd.

That 1st pic of a black turbo with Fuchs is closest to what I got, midnight blue.

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

I think they look best on a red 997.

Rossi, that looks very good! And then preferably combined with a black stoneguard on the fender, to tie it in a bit!

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

Also bear in mind the following:

The Porsche Sport Classic wheel, as Porsche calls their Fuchs rip-off, costs you about 5.900 Euro for cars with TPMS.

A set of ORGINAL Fuchs rims is yours for 3.800 Euro, rims only that is, without the tyres.

So the original Fuchs wheel should be cheaper and it is forged (the Porsche rip-off is not AFAIK), so it should also be lighter.

I found that out too. :)

I don;t need the tire package, I just need the rims as I just put some new Bridgestones on not long ago, LOVED them btw, and Fuchs can custom paint the interior color with the polished lip.

I was thinking re-using the OE wheels as winter wheels when I get around to order some winter tires.

My dealer has a 997 Speedster in the showroom. Didn't even like them on the Speedster. They don't look well on a modern car IMHO. Smiley

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

Fine Fine Fine you guys, I admit defeat now

I will find some other wheels to buy. :(

    Re: Fuchs Wheels

I had considered these for my C2S Cab (cream white w/ black top), but fitment is widebody only for the OEM Porsche wheels.

Loved them on the older p-cars - not particularly a big fan of them on the more contemporary models.
