Goodbye Gallardo...Hello Cabrera? Not.

The new Gallardo will be named Cabrera.

Introduction 2013...570 hp V10 engine...bigger than current Gallardo but slightly lighter...Spyder with electr. retractable hardtop.

Superleggera planned with 595 hp, maybe 600 hp flat, 150 kg lighter.

Last Gallardo model will be the LP 550-2 Spyder, which should show up 2011.

Update: Apparently this was some sort of joke published in an auto forum and carried along through the internet, including serious news resources, which is kind of pathetic.

BTW, next R8 is approved by Audi HQ. Will use same platform as Cabrera. Same engine with "only" 550ps. Next R8 will be also marginally bigger then current one(more or less same dimensions as MP4-12C). Same new AWD from Aventador(also for Cabrera).

Gearbox? Graziano based DCT for sure for R8.

Performance? Cabrera as good as MP4-12C. Next R8 as good as 458 Italia. This is written in internal docs.

It was all made up by a ferrarichat member. Then some autoblogs took it over, then even insideline and AMS.

I actually got this "news" from a press newsletter from an agency with car news.

Just checked and Auto, Motor und Sport has the same (of course much more in detail) "news".

Here's the question now: How the heck is it possible that this "news" gets passed on by so called "serious" news sources. This actually proves, again, that the internet can't be trusted.

Sorry, guys...next time I'm going to check the information before I post it but since this wasn't Porsche news, well...difficult.

Today I had a patient who wanted iodine tablets from me...against radiation. I told him that he needs special 65 mg tablets which are only dispensed by the state health authorities in a case of emergency. He was so upset that I didn't want to give him the tablets(I don't even have them ) that he started yelling and swearing that he'll never do business with me again. This is the first time I asked a patient to leave...a real shame.

You should have given him sedatives instead of iodine pills. This way he would have calmed down, think he was proteced against iodine 131 and everybody else would be happy. Smiley

People are very confused because of what the read/see in the media. It is understandable but sometimes I'm really... Smiley

I once told an immigration officer in the US(airport) that I'm a certified drug dealer(he asked about my occupation) and this wasn't a good idea at all. It took me some explaining to calm him down and I think it was not random that US customs asked us to open our luggage when we wanted to exit the airport after the baggage pickup. Now I always keep my mouth shut. Smiley Smiley
