Brawn will take on a role to oversee the chassis and engine liaison.

Meanwhile, Liuzzi is testing for HRT - the last racing seat left in F1 this year ... I thought we had seen the back of that guy. He creates havoc IMO. Avoidable accidents happen because of his stupidity IMO.

Pirelli confirms that it will bring hard and soft compounds to the first 4 races of the 2011 season.

(Pirelli has 4 dry compounds in total).

CONFIRMED -

Bahrain race been cancelled by the Prince. I wonder if this is a first for Formula One?

I wonder if a secondary venue can be found. If so, please let it be in the US. I know the engineers and Pirelli have been prepping the cars for Bahrain, but most all teams still have data for Indy.

(Reuters) - Bahrain Grand Prix organisers cancelled the opening race of the Formula One season on Monday due to unrest in the country.

"The Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) today announced that the Kingdom of Bahrain would withdraw from hosting this year's F1 Grand Prix race so that the country can focus on its process of national dialogue," they said.

Apparently the Mercedes car has had an engine cooling problem. I don't think they will be competitive in the early part of this season. I think the only cars that will be quick out of the box are Red Bull, Ferrari and Renault. I have my doubts about McLaren. They always seem to be playing catch up.
