2012 GR6 PROBLEM
Hi all!
I just pick up my 2012 from the dealer today after the 1000miles CONTROL.(iam from france)
The problem is as follow:
When i am on the 3rd gear and i push the throttle to 100% but shift to the 4th gear at 3/4000trs there is a very bad sound from the gear box like chchchchong, it feel's like a syncro problem or clutch
The thing is i have the right oil pressure all the time, and when i shift at hi rpm there is no bad sound.
I will call the technician tomorrow, but that is very estrange...

A friend of mine owns a GTR. The tranny makes awkward shifts around town at low revs. Its also clunky when you stab the gas hard and then short shift like that guy describes. However when you use max revs to shift its perfect. Sum up: Not a smooth shifting car for use in slow or dense traffic.
Of course it won't upshift as smooth or as fast when you are in 3rd gear and stab the throttle at 3/4000 rpm. The second clutch pre-selected 2nd gear before you pulled the upshift paddle so you have to wait until it disengages 2nd and engages 4th. All double clutch units have this problem, some worse than others. As for the bad sound..
2012 GR6 problem turned out to be nothing major, but your ecu will bring down your rev limiter to 4,000 rpm for almost 20mins before you're able to launch/drag the car again
Here's another issue I read about last night

Was running at HHR in Austin earlier this month when I heard a loud "pop" and my driver's side front wheel suddenly felt wrong... like I had suddenly corded or flattened the tire. I limped into the pits and found a broken wheel stud. I was considering upgrading to ARP wheel studs based on some earlier posts from Sharif and others, I guess my decision to do so is now made for me.
