I agree - DM took a useless Jaguar team in 2004 and made it into the Red Bull Racing team that won both the 2010 Drivers' and Constructors' titles last year. That's just staggering ...

Also he bought the struggling Minardi team and made it into the Scuderia Toro Rosso team today - it acts as a nice 'feeder' team so that young talent can graduate up to the main Red Bull Racing team (e.g. Vettel).

In this context, I find LdM's comments arrogant and ridiculous - about Red Bull Racing not knowing how to behave vis-a-vis Scuderia Ferrari and its past glories.

In my view, such views belong to a past era when aristocrats thought they deserved special treatment.

I think what matters is not where you came from in the past but where you are heading towards in the future

Apparently, the McLaren that was launched today does not have the exhaust design of the car that will be tested and raced ...

Rumours in the German media that McLaren had suggested that the McLaren would have the same radical exhausts as the Renault but this proved not to be the case…yet. It seems that other teams have known about what Renault was working on and are likely to have been trying it themselves to assess the gains. Engineering director Tim Goss suggested that McLaren will have exhaust solutions of its own soon, “It won’t come as any surprise or shock that the exhaust solution on the car today is not what we intend to be testing or racing,” he said. “There will be some other solutions appearing on other cars, and on our cars as well.”
