The most bizarre story I read today - Renault says Kubica is like a diamond but they want to 'polish' him. Huh?
While Renault has enjoyed success as engine supplier to Red Bull, they are lucky to still be competing in F1 as a chassis constructor. Renault F1 is lucky to have a driver like Kubica.
When Toyota and BMW left F1, everyone thought Renault would do the same. Well, the Renault name stayed but the team is not owned by Renault anymore.
Kubica could drive for McLaren, Ferrari ... any one of the leading teams. The fact that he is spending valuable years in his career remaining with Renault is IMO an act of faith and generosity from Kubica.
I think Eric Bouillier is talking nonsense.

Kubica is a good friend of Alonso. Kubica wouldn't go to Ferrari while Alonso is still there. McLaren are happy with their 2 former World Champions in their driver pairing. Mercedes has Schumi and Rosberg and they seem happy with their line up too. So Renault is the next best race seat available to Kubica. That's why he is still there.
