Have to confess this car didn´t impress me much on that video. The color doesn´t help the car to stand out, the wheels are ugly as hell, the front looked plain although rear looked good.
Not a good marketing move, seeing this brand new Porsche toy being pushed this way.

Very interesting design. Hopefully it heralds the end of the moronic retro phase.
If you're referring to the 911...no...it doesn't. Thanks god.
The 911 is a legend, many people buy it because of it's classic shape.

I completely agree, RC
I was very glad when the 997 turned out to resemble the 993 more than the 996 did. I love the long hoods too. I haven't even warmed up to the 991 conception pictures yet - not sure that I will...
If Porsche moves away from the 911 in the form of other models, so be it; but I hope they don't too heavily re-invent the 911. Just my opinion.

One of the virtues of the 911 is that it is the 911.
It is nevertheless built in a large number of variations to cater for nuances of taste within a certain, but finite, range.
Those who still don't like it have always been free to buy and drive something else.
And if they still can't find anything else on the market that they like so much that they can happily turn their back on the 911 variants, then they should really be questioning their own powers of reasoning.

Am I the only one that thinks that this car sounds lackluster compared to the CGT? I don't know but it sounds like a souped up 4C engine.
It sounds like that because of the side exhaust. You don't get the full stereo effect, unless you're IN the car, or just behind it ! And that engine needs revs to sound good, you don't just cruise along like that and expect to be blown away by the sound. It's not a cruising engine, it's a racing engine, for fuchs sake ! :)
