Try getting the PSE from Carnewal and then arranging a dealer to fit it 
I like the PSE on the 996 - in some ways louder than a 997 PSE

Just remove the silencers. It is free and LOUD 
On a more serious note, I think it will be hard to find a decent exhaust system below EUR 1'000. Cargraphic offers silencers for ca. EUR 1'160, the export version, which should be louder than any PSE. If it actually sounds good is a completely different question.
