Seems that way. Sad thing is there's not a damn thing I can do about it except maybe cancel the order..

John, this may be silly BUT maybe the dealer would be willing to absorb some (all) of the VAT? I'd certainly ask them.

Perhaps you could try to make a compromise deal with the Porsche Centre so that not all additional tax is passed on to you.

Turbo S will be here today!! It's being trucked to me and should arrive sometime this afternoon. They'll also pick up my trade. Dealer (five hours away) does this at no cost to me and I like it because it doesn't put extra miles on a new vehicle.

I wasn't really serious about cancelling....just feeling really pissed off at the OPC's lack of communication and knowledge of the manufacturing schedules..
I did sound out another OPC who told me they weren't expecting a demo until January! The best they could offer was a January build and February delivery.
I'll be doing everything I can to get the best bottom-line deal....just have to be a bit more patient I suppose.

I'm really gutted for you John 
Reminds me of when production of my car was delayed at the last minute.
Unfortunately, I highly doubt the OPC will contribute anything towards the increased VAT amount - since it is a delay on the part of PAG not PCGB or the OPC. It really sucks to get stuffed with an extra 2.5% having thought you had avoided it.
Hang in there - you'll enjoy the car when it comes

Seems a fair deal - and the 2011 registration will also help at re-sale.

BTW - I'm not sure I'd have wanted to take delivery in the current weather conditions!
