355 is my favorite ferrari of all time. Supercar being the more edgy F40. However, the 458 is a good attempt and will be remembered more so than the 360/430 series. They are like the 996
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)
I agree. I've always been in love with both the 355's looks and the sound of the exhaust due to its smaller displacement compared to the 360/430.
If they didn't require so much maintenance - (Timing belt replacement every 30K mi!), frequent niggles and naggles, I'd consider buying one at some point.
...the only thing stopping you in all likelihood, is you!

Eunice:
What would you have to pay for a 355?
For comparison, a nice CS here would run you about $150K where you could get a nice 355 for $85-95K. A 2000 - 2002 360 Modena is about the same as a 355 price wise. I think the 355 will hold its value as the 360 drops.
reginos:
IMO the 355 Harmonious proportions with enough drama but without going to visual extremes. Dynamic but elegant, fresh and timeless.
Agree 100%, this beauty is a forever Classic. The 360 that came after is the most ugly Ferrari ever(348 is a tuff competition on this one) but F430 corrected that, still, it doesn´t have the classic look of a 355.
