Another 997.1 turbo to the rennteam family !

Hello rennteamers !!!!!!!!!

its been a while since my last new thread at rennteam !...but I think the occasion means it !!.....

A new addition to the rennteam family !!! Smiley

We had delivery of this ¨little beast¨ a month ago or so. All I can say its a completely different driving experience from atmospheric engines (987S, 997, 997S etc) , completely crazy, it gives you EVERYTHING in a second, dont want to exaggerate but you really need to focus what you want to do and at what point you want to stop accelerating, because the turbo boost is just in another whole level......

Anyways, its a 2008 Porsche approved 997.1 Turbo with tiptronic S and of course, sport chrono Smiley Smiley less than 20,000kms...We had an excellent oportunity at our dealer and couldn't turn down the deal. Smiley

Would love in anyone could give me some insight regarding cleaning the exhaust tips, as they are a bit black, and its completely impossible to clean them and leave them as new, are there any products that could help ?, I have seen some threads at 6speedonline, but would like help regarding this.

Also, I'm trying to do a research of what could be the best aftermarket exhaust for a 997 turbo, as the stock exhaust is nice and sounds excellent with the turbo blowing, but may be it lacks in sound vs a pdk carrera sport exhaust, although its not a priority...

Its a completely new level, the performance this car and engine delivers it can be out of control by certain ¨overrall¨ drivers, sometimes I think its just too much regarding performance Smiley its like being the king of the road, by just using 40% of the real capabilities of the engine, it sounds a bit cocky, I know. Smiley

I was under the impression that you already acquired that car a while ago. Anyways, congratulations and a lot of entertaining kilometros.

Regarding sport exhaust, Cargraphic seems to be very high on the list. Some others will chime in soon...

Re. exhaust tip cleaning, you meant the outside chrome part, not the inside, right? The outside should stay bright and clean and shouldn't require much cleaning? What is on it that needs cleaning?

Congratulations!

This model is the only Porsche sportscar that can be had with Tiptronic S,without the performance suffering, so good choice.

In fact the Tip S is faster than the Manual and you have the Overboost feature too.

@Ferdie, yeah no clue what I am talking about !!! Smiley ....We only got delivery about one and a half months, but we where looking some months ago to the right one, untill we saw this beauty and in excellent shape !....

Cargraphic is the one RC told me, and by all the feedback I've read, it looks its the best choice, also there is a spanish official dealer of Cargraphic !...Will see Smiley

hello cannga, I mean both sides (inside and outside), the inside part is full of black particulars, impossible to clean them off, it just stays no matter how you clean, the outside part is a bit burned (a little bit of blue colour due to high temperatures) but also lots of black stains, also impossible to clean, no matter how hard you rub.....

Speaking of which, today I received at home Autosol Metal polish, will see how it goes, any ideas ??...

I've seen some videos and read some articles regarding autosol metal polish and so far its a great product

I also bought Dura Gloss perfect for cleaning windows and removing water spots (the rear window has some spots that are impossible to clean, so will see if this works too)

Will post A LOT of more photos during the next weeks. Just bought a Nikon D5000, and another friend is coming to take some pictures with a Canon EOS 1000D, so result should be promising but not as good as Atomic80 photos ! Smiley
