    Patrick Dempsey on cars (from Greys Anatomy)

    This was on this weeks episode of Greys Anatomy, Patrick Dempseys Character, Derek Shepard was arrested for driving fast on one of the new Cayenne Turbo, thats his car on the show. Knowing Dempsey is actually a car nut this scene must've been fun for him to do. You can tell hes not acting when he says the little speech. Probably one of the few celebrities I'd like to meet and talk to Smiley

    I didn't find the clip on youtube so I recorded my screen while I played it, so sorry for the poor quality and all the window tabs at the end. Also the watermark is from a demo software I downloaded to get the video off my screen

    listen to the clip with headphones on - I'm not sure if you can make it out with speakers, but as he's describing oversteer and trottle recovery, they have a sound effect in he background; that sounds like a flat six of some sort...

    They showed him Driving the new Cayenne like crazy in that episode.

    Patrick Dempsey is also the co-owner of a race team and even owns Dempsey Racing. As far as I know, he participates himself in race events whenever he can.

     I tried recording it again but the Demo doesn't record the audio from the computer, only the microphone. So its the sound from the speakers on my laptop straight to the mic. So i guess that sound not that good but its gonna have to cut it

    I hope my comment was not taken as a complaint on the sound quality - it wasn't meant to be.

    Interesting though, I watched the clip on HULU (season 7, episode 2, around 20:45) and the engine sound is not there.  Am I imagining things in your clip??

      No don't worry, i guess its just the fact that t didn't record the sound straight into the video but through the mic. Maybe a porsche went by my house at that moment, or could've just been the A/C in this room in the background.

    Patrick Dempsey is also the co-owner of a race team and even owns Dempsey Racing. As far as I know, he participates himself in race events whenever he can.

     Dempsey Racing, fielding 2 Mazda RX8s, won their first race this year in the Grand Am Series and, yes, he really races and is well respected as a driver. 

    He also drove a Porsche GT3 at Le Mans this year, finishing 10th in class.

    AND he's making the movie of one of my favorite novels, The Art Of Racing In The Rain.
